Upcoming LV Trip

Headed to LV this coming week to celebrate Ms. Lucky's upcoming birthday. This has almost become an annual pilgrimage for her birthday. Last year surprised her by bringing in her 3 kids (including her son who is working in Canada). What a great pleasure to see the tears of joy and share family time at Red Rock.

Had thought about AC/Borgata since we have never been but hard to not go to Red Rock with 100% returns and plus great comps.    

Staying two days on the Strip (thought I would use some of my Harrah's comps) and then the last two days at our favorite - Red Rock. One or both of us have always done well at RR. July trip was really good for me. Ms. only hit one RF and then shut out.

Will update upon our return she is getting another surprise when we get there.

Hope to have a great time and can't wait to get to Red Rock. Oldest daughter and SIL are flying in after us to surprise mom. SIL has never been to RR. Weather looks great just need the hits and RF!!!

Weather looks great just need the hits and RF!!!

Wife and I returned late Saturday afternoon from LV trip to celebrate her birthday and daughters/SIL’s anniversary – 2 nights on the strip and 2 at Red Rock. Wife and I had no hits at the Harrah’s properties Tuesday or Wednesday but we weren’t surprised with the odds. We played the Palms Wednesday evening and I came out ahead. Four hours of play and only 5 quads but hit Aces twice and RF w/Joker.

Thursday and Friday stayed and played at our favorite Red Rock.   I hit AWAK before dinner and then played even until late Thursday night when I moved to Triple Play. Hit a straight flush on Joker and the next hand caught a 5 of Kind on Joker. Followed up by AWAK on DDB for a good close. Meanwhile our daughter played Spin Poker and caught deuces twice and RF for a great night.

Friday had lots of play but hits were strange. Hit only 3 quads in the first session - quad eights and then Aces and AWAK. Second session started with same sequence, quad eights and Aces before the night turned. No other hits over the next five hours and played even. This was the first time that wife or I didn’t hit a RF or Deuces while at Red Rock out of five trips. Won’t complain since I hit more Aces/AWAK than other quads combined on the trip.

All ended well when we flew back into Houston and I was able get home in time to drive back to the UH stadium and watch a great game as Houston beat Texas Tech with the game ending just after mid-night.
