sept contest ??..webmaster

Post by starsky »

I looked at the results of the sept contest.  I noticed four of a kind 2,3,4 with or without kickers and aces without kickers getting really big scores. Before the contest started I played the game and noticed all hands between flushes and straight flush had random payouts.  BUT when I played in the contest, I only got random payouts for flush, full house, 5-king four of a kind and straight flush.  I didnt question it I just thought you had a different version for the contest.  Maybe you can look up my play to see what was wrong.

I believe the contest version was a little different than the normal version in DDB. I think that the only time you could get a reward bonus for Aces, Kickers, etc was with a maximum bonus, of $500, which is rare. Otherwise, the intermediary bonuses were always 0 and considered no bonus. In Double Bonus (as opposed to DDB) the bonuses were always on for these hands.I will check on this though.

I noticed this on day one and posted about it. In DDB, there was no RR for any 4 of a kind unless it was 5-k.  In DB, however, like you mentioned, there was a RR for 4 aces OR ANY other 4OAK .

When playing DDB during the contest, there were extremely rare instances where there was an RR for quads with kicker. I once saw the A's w/kicker for $1,000 and 2,3,4 w/kicker for $1,000 also. A few users reported the FH and FL RR's going as high as $1,000 also.

WOW! That would have been crazy to have seen/hit. On day 1, I got a $500+ full house and the day before the contest ended, I got a $500+ flush but little good it did!
