virus warning - Panda software

Post by Maddie04 »

I use Panda 2010 as my AV program and am getting virus warnings (exploit/SWF.B)  and the game wouldn't finish loading. Have been writing support but am not able to finish the contest because of this and support must have gone home for the night by now because there's been no more word from them since earlier today.Just curious if anyone else is having this problem.  I'm really disappointed.  I started out okay but something happened last night and this bizarre thing started.  I'd be interested to find out if anyone else is experiencing this or anything similar.

I did a google search for exploit/SWF.B and it appears that this is a message
that Panda antivirus is putting out for all sorts of online games.
I think many people with Panda antivirus will get this message, and not
just on our site. It appears to come with the latest auto-update that they
wrote.

The only immediate fix would be to turn off Panda, but I can't in good
conscience advise you to turn off your antivirus software. I do not suggest bypassing the warning in any case unless you have other anti-virus software on hand and enabled. Either Panda will correct the error on their end, or if there is something on our end that needs to be fixed we will address it here as quickly as possible.

Support will be resonding shortly with some things to try. Hopefully if
this is indeed a "false positive" warning, it is something that Panda addresses
quickly. Based on the google results, it is a warning that Panda users are
receiving all over the place for online games.

Thanks for the response webman.  I really appreciate you taking the time to inform me what seems to be happening.  I guess for now, I will just give up on the Oct. contest and wait for someone to get a fix going. Thanks again.  Maddie04
