Harrah's New Orleans ???
We got a free trip offer to Biloxi with Beau Raviage and as usual we can't resist the word FREE. We arrive Fri. evening and Sat. we are renting a car and heading to New Orleans for the day. I want to shop some of the antique stores and if I have any money left might stop by Harrah's. Can anyone tell me what the casino is like..Smokey, old, dirty, pay tables, choice of machines, etc....If it's one of their old run down casinos we'll just skip it and head back to Biloxi...but if it's clean and the pay tables are decent I might play there a bit....

I was in New Orleans last year. The folks are real nice, and the hotel is very up to date. I would rate the casino as "good". I did not find it very compelling as far as variety of VP or strong pay tables, but on the other hand, it was comfortable to play in. I would, however, recomend that you use care in strolling around the area.
While in Biloxi, if you are looking for a Harrah's property to visit, don't forget about the Grand Biloxi. Their boat was washed away by Katrina, but they converted their conference center to a casino while they rebuild. It's small, not too much VP, but they are real nice. Just a personal observation, I found the folks at the Beau Rivage a little "snooty". Have fun..
