Re: January Contests!
I was unable to access the Atlantis contest. When I registered, it kept wiping out my info and returning me back to the orig. page. Then, I finally got put through, but not to the contest page, just another one of their websites. Tried different things about 9-10 times and gave up. If it's this difficult to get into the contest, I doubt if you'd ever see any prize from them.

Does anyone out there know anything about this Atlantis Casino in Reno? Would any of you go there without winning a prize?

It's a fine casino and I would like to go there again. We were in Reno on two trips and visited Atlantis briefly including their annual great and huge clam bake. I had not signed up in advance through mailed offer and was thrilled they said "c'mon over" that day when I phoned at the last minute. We stayed at Harrah's. I played VP longer and more successfully at both El Dorado and smaller Sienna. Peppermill is another big casino. I believe both have been redone in recent years and are a few miles drive from the cluster of other casinos that are within walking distance of each other. I consider Reno as interesting as Tunica or AC. Reno takes on a different complexion during Biker Week, when vendors set up tents in the streets. OOPS, I should have discouraged you from trying in that contest, to give me an edge. GL.

Nancy J enjoyed staying at Atlantis and playing there every time she went to Reno, which was often. Where are you, Nancy, we miss you on forum!

All of the "cookie" issues people said I had before for problems on VP.com seemed to have miraculously cleared up by themselves and I've never had any problems with any other websites that I enter info to sign up for something, so I doubt that cookies are my problem with the Atlantis site.As far as how this place is, I have been to Atlantis, and I thought it was a real nice casino. I can tell you that at the time they had the most generous payouts for 4 Card Keno. I don't play other Kenos, so I don't know about those paytables.

Webman, I had an unexplained error while playing in the Atlantis contest on my 2nd try today. I got the following error message AFTER playing all 200 rounds of the game:Server Error
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

I had no trouble with the 1st game (right after the midnight reset). I then tried a 2nd game by pressing the PLAY AGAIN NOW button. The 2nd game proceeded without incident during my play and ended about 48 minutes after the reset with the score somewhere in the 5700-5800 range when I received the message above. No big deal for me, but I wouldn't want anyone to score 20,000+ points and then get surprised by this. The software knew that I had played because it updated the number of games played but I think that happens when you start. This game had a worse score than my 5th best game, so I could not tell whether it would have also updated my score on the leaderboard or under "Your Best Scores."I was unable to duplicate the error after trying a couple more games. I started again from the link in this thread for the 3rd game. To play the 4th game, I pressed the PLAY AGAIN NOW button like I had to start the 2nd game, but was able to play the 4th with no problem (OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT I GOT REALLY LOW SCORES!!). Instead of getting an error message, I was offered the PLAY AGAIN NOW button. If it helps anyone to locate the error, I am playing under the same screen name "New2vp" in that tournament.Good luck,

I had that same thing happen after my first two sessions but tried again and again and got through to playing the contest. A few other times that same wording appeared about reaching my maximum of five sessions and again I persevered and was able to play. This five rounds per day is probably an excellent idea on many levels!
