Some Luck at the Indians!

Post by luvzlyfe »

Had the day from hell today.  Went to the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.  I had only $100 in my pocket, and it's quarters, so I figured it's quick in-and-out.  Hitting 4 Q's on a DW didn't help either, so I switched to TDB.  Drew a pair of 2's and ended up getting the other 2-2's with the A kicker for $500.  Walked out up $340 and I'm a happy camper!

Congratulations! Great way to relax and end a day.

Better half and I started playing VP about two years before we retired. We used to call each other near the end of the day (on really bad days) and say we can be at the casino in 90 minutes. And we can have the buffet so we don't have to cook.    So some evenings we hit the road before 5:00 p.m. played until 9:30 and came home relaxed in time to go to bed for another day. Funny how the closer we got to retirement the last year, the more often those calls came and the more frequently the trips occurred.

Of course since we retired we couldn't use "work" as an excuse. Our college age granddaughter helped us by coming up with a new excuse. She called one day to talk and didn't get us. When she got us the next day she said, "I knew the weather was really bad with lots of thunderstorms so I figured you had gone to the casino to "shelter-in-place".       I can't tell you how many times that phrase has now been heard in the family that we are "sheltering-in-place".
