Indian Casino VP question
I recently went to the Downstream Casino outside Joplin, Mo. with some friends. All the VP machines are made by IGT and look just like the Vegas machines, but I remember reading some time ago that IGT can make the VP machines with a different technology than what is allowed in NV, due to different regulations for the Indian Casinos....I've searched the IGT site and can't find the info. Can any of you help. The article had something to do with the RNG not being quite the same...

Those would be VLTs. And, yes, you want to know if you are playing VLTs because they are essentially slot machines and what you hold is meaningless. The return of VLTs is usually in the 90-92% range and you can tell if you are playing them. VLTs have a secondary pay method like the genie changing cards mentioned in another thread.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Lottery_Terminal Found this on the VLT's but the machines are made by IGT and look exactly like Vegas machines..I checked out every aspect of them that I could see and saw no difference. They are billed as class III machines so how can I tell if they are VLT or not..Would they tell me if I asked?

Class III machines are not VLTs.
As I said above, VLTs have a secondary mechanism for paying. If none exists, then it isn't a VLT.
Sounds to me like it's standard VP machines.
