Palazzo
Has anyone stayed at the Palazzo? I am going there next month and was wondering how the VP is there. Or is it just attached to the Venetian casino? And are the rooms nice? They look nice on their website.

When I get the free room offers for the Venetian or Palazzo, I choose the Venetian. I don't personally care for the Palazzo. The casino feels very barren and void of excitement. The Venetian on the other hand is much cozier to me. That's just my opinion.
It's right next door to the Venetian and they are attached. I haven't seen the rooms in person but the Venetian rooms are rather nice and good-sized so I'm sure the same goes for the Palazzo.

Stopped by both Venetian and Palazzo on our last trip over Super Bowl weekend. They are two seperate casinos, which you can walk between without going outside. I haven't seen the rooms at either property, but folks that have stayed there say it's nice. Venetian used to have Wheel Poker, but they took it out. Nothing very exciting in VP there. Palazzo had some VP multi-line games, typical "strip" pay tables, nothing you couldn't find at other properties.

Sherrell B, I was just at the Venetian/Palazzo from Thurs. 2/18-2/21. I always stay at the Palazzo because the rooms are newer and have a cleaner feeling for me. Just my opinion. The rooms at both are the same, a large bathroom with a TV, a bedroom w/TV, and a sitting room with a large sectional and of course, a TV. I had a great time and do check out the Spa. My massage and facial were to die for. Billy is correct about the VP not being very exciting. I play one line DDB and only had one AAAA4. I wander back and forth between the casinos. When I want lots of people and a frenzied enviornment I go to the Venetian. When I get sick of lots of folks I go to the Palazzo.
Hope you have a great time..Enjoy!

We have enjoyed spacious rooms at Venetian on several trips including Jan. They charge extra for a view of the strip, as does Paris. That place is so huge you'll appreciate a room near an elevator.

Thanks to all of you. They upgraded me to a view room, so that will be nice. I like few people around so Palazzo may be good for me. I usually gamble between 2 and 6 in the morning because there aren't many people and I can pick my machine. I have stayed at the Venetian and the rooms are nice. I still like the Mirage, suite wise.

Just to let you all know, I went to the Palazzo, room was beautiful and we looked center of Treasuer Island on 31st floor so the view was great. It was huge and I got lost a couple of times, which is not like me at all. The service was great, but room service food...PU! We paid $116 for a dinner that was horrible. BUT... I hit TWO Royals on $1 single hand! Woohoo! I also saw a young man hit $50,600 on, of all things, Goldfish!

I agree the Palazzo is beautiful. And double congrats on the double royals...how fabu!! Let me guess..what is your fav casino??? And, I agree about the food, good thing it was comped. We ate dinner at Delmonico's and I ordered the lobster. It looked like a califlower..it was enormous..and tough...very disappointing for 105.00 just for that. I didn't want to complain so I said nothing. I do not think I will ever eat there or lobster again.
Glad you walked away a winner...brava sherrell

WAY TO GO SHERRELL, Glad to hear you won and had a good time in Vegas!
JIM, S S, I do not recall exactly. 'Seems one casino hotel wanted $45 when I was getting comped rooms in the first place. The other was more like $25 range for a strip view room. I just might be able to play a long time on that $70 and enjoy that more than the view of the strip. In the past, we have enjoyed the view of the Bellagio fountain playing as seen from Paris. We held EMPTY glasses to the window to hear the music more clearly. We tried not to press too hard against the window as it was a long way down from the 17th floor! YIKES!
We stayed last night at Caesar Windsor and had a great view of the Detroit River and sky line and Belle Isle and bridge from the 11th floor. Yesterday, white caps were visible and all was calm with several small fishing boats near the shore, today. We saw several huge freighters passing by. What a view! Fortunately, they do not charge extra for their rooms with a view. Shhh, do not give them any ideas. You either get a river view or city scape, aka rooftops.
We are still proud of our MSU Spartans and coach Izzo. We feel a tad responsible as we were attending "Tony and Tina's wedding" during most of that game. The music and food were great but it was like attending a wedding where we knew no one.
