Game playing speed

  I was looking at a few photos people posted of recent jackpots and on one I saw the game speed was set to it`s highest level and it got me to thinking. On the games where you can adjust the speed at which the cards are dealt what level do most of you prefer and why? I personally like to set it at it`s lowest level. Not only do you get to play longer but I like seeing the cards as they appear and have that second or two to get my hopes up and cheer on win. You have say the 10-J-Q of hearts and keep them and hit "Draw" and the K of hearts appears and you have that second to scream inside, "ACE!"

Unfortunately for me I play as fast as possible. Like a junkie I guess . I love when I get it on a good run and just keep blasting out hands. It sucks though on a bad session. Ive drove before to the casino and been wiped out within 30 minutes. I try to play at medium speed lately. Slow is just tooooo slow.

I play at full throttle like all the other junkies.  I seem to hit jackpots when I'm not looking for them so playing at full speed I don't have time to think "give the other ace" "give the other ace" "give the other ace" "give the other ace"!
Only time I play at slow speed is when I play shockwave and get into shockwave mode.  But that's not often since shockwave blows as a game.

 If it lets me adjust the speed I like to see the cards come up slow. Some of the machines I play do not allow me to adjust the speed. I also do not like to hear the sound of the game. This is because sometimes I like to enter the credits one at a time instead of just hitting max bet. I always play full credits though!

One time I was playing very fast and talking to my friend who was sitting next to me...I was on a Triple play and didn't even realize I had hit a royal on the top line.  The credits came up very fast and I pushed draw before I even saw the royal...Where the sam hill did that 4000 credits come from?  LOL  Ever since then I've slowed down...Also I find when I play too fast I make more mistakes.........But I'm totally a junkie like the speed players. I'm just an old slow junkie .

LIke many others our first instincts are to play fast. You know the more hands/hours the more chances of hitting.      

After reading and learning more about the RNG we realized that it was a matter of our nano-second timing that decided a hit or loss. We decided that altering our play seemed to help our play results. Now we try to synchronize our play to the RNG. Since the RNG is always running if we are hitting we keep the timing sequence, when we start hitting losing hands we alter our play by hitting a different button or altering the speed or even quit playing for a few seconds to alter our timing with the RNG.

Even it makes no mathematical sense, if nothing else it slows down our play.

Yes, it makes no mathematical sense, but it is logical from a psychological standpoint. If I start losing I slow down and change my rhythm. While it likely makes no difference in the long run, a person just feels better.

Yeah, but losing slow is better than losing fast and feeling good is sometimes a win!

I usually play progressive so I try to go as fast as I can so that winning hand can be MINE!
