My goodness!  $62.50 a hand?  That is a far cry from the Eduardo in 2006-7 who talked about playing nickels!!Many (or mucho) congratulations!

Mucho uh...uh...congratulationos!

As New2vp commented, $62.50 a play?!  With my typical bankroll and luck, I'd have started out with a run of junk hands and been on my way home in about a minute!

Holy Crapola...

I was going to comment that royals on 50 or 100 play pennies or nickles don't count...then I see the 25 cent in the corner, and indeed that royal certainly does count. Eduardo you have bigger cajones than I at $62.50/hand. Congrats my brother!

Btw, what was the pay table here?

It must feel great to get that Monkey off your back.  Many more now.
Brought back memories as my first Royal was in Spades.

This was Deuces Wild 44
1-2-3-4-4-9-15-25-200-800 (98.91%)

No, not nickels or pennies. I PROMISED myself that when I got my first royal, it would be a full thousand dollars.

Yes, much higher stakes than I have EVER tried before on this machine. I only brought $400 and thought that this trip since I didn't have a lot of time, I would spend the first $300 on high stakes just for fun and then play around with the last $100 the rest of the time if I lost. This was the best play I could find at the MGM other than high stakes JOB which I don't know the strategy for well enough.

We were coming back from dinner and I thought I'd get just 10 minutes of play before turning in. With 50 play, I thought I'd have more like 30 seconds because even though Deuces is less volatile, there is no such thing as not volatile on 50 play. If I didn't get any 2's to come along early, I wouldn't last to see much of anything. So I was very prepared to lose it all and go right to bed. I won't be making a habit of these stakes any time soon.

My goal was just like most trips: Double or nothing. So in this session I put $300 in and would either bust out or come away with $300+.

First hand, I was dealt a pair of wild 2's and got ahead. It was all good from there. I LOVE starting out ahead!

Got up maybe 130, then a few moments later was below my initial 300. Wild ride. A few hands of redrawing all 5 cards is just murder at these stakes and I started to think it was the beginning of the end. Then the little two's (just enough) crept back in enough along with a dealt straight to get me up to about $575. I had survived longer than I thought and I was close to my $600 cashout. But I stuck to my gameplan. A few hands later... boom. Cash out, go to bed happy.

I'm taking ALL of this royal home with me. The only thing I will gamble the rest of this trip is the $100 I had left in my original budget. I don't want to ruin the experience and will get something fun with it (and save a little).

My past two trips have both been beautiful.

Congradulations on your first royal, but I am more impressed that you had the discipline to call it a night and not gamble away your winnings as I know...umm...some of us do.

Way to go Edwardo!
