I wouldnt love the STP since it didnt cough up a multiplier, but a royal on any VP machine looks great.

Where's that darn multiplier when you need it. This must be one of those "best play of the house" machines RD was speaking of. Look at that huge 8/5 DDB paytable. Sheesh.

I was at Harrahs in AC. For anyone who's been there finding a good pay table can practically take the entire evening. I end up breaking down after a while and just playing what they have.
I'm getting ready to swear off STP as I don't feel the multiplier is worth the extra 10 coins. I'm going to give regular 10 play a chance on my next trip.
Go figure. Last year in Vegas I had deuces 6 different times, this year in vegas, none (over 4 days), and none in my last 3 AC trips. Although I've had 3 RF's playing DDB in 2 trips to AC. VP Gods are very strange.

Harrahs did have a 9/6 DDB last time I was there. Agree with you on the STP, same for QQ. Believe it is famine first then possibly/maybe feast. Learned the hard way on both. My last trip in June to Vegas was really great. That RF however, still avoiding me and I think my chances are slim at the Sands Bethworks.

[QUOTE=damule] VP Gods are very strange.
That's the understatement of the century
Still at $15 a pop I'd rather pay $2 single line. Could have been $8,000 instead of $2,000. But of course the PG would not have allowed it
Good hit.

rover,
If you are getting frustrated with your lack of multipliers on STP, I suggest you try Ultimate X. For the $15/deal you're investing in STP, you can play 5-play Ultimate X quarters at $12.50/deal and your odds on hitting a big hand with a multiplier are much higher. For my money, I'd play $10/deal at 10-play dimes on Ultimate X. Keep in mind the volatility is higher, but the big hits are extremely wild and do occur much more often than on STP.

Where Are These Machines At Harrahs?!?!?!
Or for that matter at any Harrahs property in Vegas. When was the last time you were there, in the 90's? I've been a Diamond, and the last few years a Seven Stars total rewards member playing mostly vp at Harrah's properties. Outside of the high limit areas, $5 and up, DDB 9/6 is non-existant. Every single line $1 machine I've seen at a Harrah's property in Vegas the past 5 years or longer has been no higher than 9/5, usually 8/5 for DDB. And for lower denoms, 9/5 doesn't even exist.

I played a little Ultimate X tonight on VP.com and it's a pretty interesting game. I'm going to give it a try when I return to AC. I think we may be going this weekend. Last week wound up being 1.25 ahead on the trip. I'll take a push any day of the week. Guy to the right of me in 3 card poker had 2 straight flushes (those were my cards!!!). Still a very fun game when the table is having fun, which in AC with the standard cast of characters is almost all the time.
Going to give UX a try. I find I'm wasting way too much in single line .50 or 1.00 just hanging around for the free beer. Going to have to do that with quarters and save the bank for the 10 line games. That being said, I've had some complete train wrecks with STP in the past. Justs seems recently I've been holding my own.
Slowely getting away from Deuces. UX doesn't seem at all like a deuces game but rather DDB which I'm becoming fond of. If I remember correctly DDB seems to be the game of the pro's right?
I'm finally advancing my gameplay to the next level. My trainer tells me I'm 93=95% perfect play so I'm continuing to hone my skills.
Recommendations?
