For the first time this month, we had a large number of Gold Members towards the top.It looks like a good number of Gold Members caught on to the Royal Aces pay table this time around, which awards 4000 for 4 Aces. That makes the chances of a jackpot much higher than most other game variations.Congratulations to the winners. There will be a forum poll up shortly to find out if people enjoyed these pay tables for a single line contest, or if you would prefer game types where only a royal flush pays 4000.

For the first time this month, we had a large number of Gold Members towards the top.It looks like a good number of Gold Members caught on to the Royal Aces pay table this time around, which awards 4000 for 4 Aces. That makes the chances of a jackpot much higher than most other game variations. An alternate explanation for more Gold at the top might have been that this was a single line tournament where it was not necessary to have a DEALT JACKPOT HAND to win. Although there is still a lot of luck involved, it takes a little more skill to get the hands on the draw than on the deal. (I know...there are a lot of skilled non-Gold players out there, but I would guess that the typical Gold player might possibly be a bit more serious about vp.)I do like to have more choices rather than fewer choices, but you have enough tournaments where you can mix it up and sometimes offer the games like Royal Aces or TDB or even AC Joker Wild where 5trees pay off more often than royals. Sometimes delete them from the list. No reason to go strictly one way or the other.Just like you can mix it up with single line sometimes, triple play most of the time, and 5-, 10-, 50-, or 100- play other times. This time I liked the inclusion of a couple Joker games which paid 4700 and 5000 for a royal. The couple times I hit one jackpot hand in the tourney, it made me have to decide whether to play for a bigger paying royal on the Joker games to overtake the leader or continue to stick with the Royal Aces and try to get the more frequent 4000 PLUS another big hand. And since TDB also pays 2000 for small quads + kicker, that had to be considered, too.By the way, thanks for the extra work and as always the well-run tournament, but now I have to acquire even more discipline to get other things in my life done!

...Or it could have been just "dumb luck" that there are so many golds this time.As we've discussed many times on the forum, sometimes "patterns" just have to do with a peculiar run of the celestial RNG. We don't have to like it but sometimes there is no explanation other than randomness.(...but I still think that single line might have something to do with it...until you run the next single line tourney and the Golds are shutout!)
