Update: Light rain, No wind, No flooding, No nothing but a lot of hype. "It will be here at 12:'00, then 2:00Am , then 4:00AM,No show.
However when I went out on our riverside deck to see if the promised storm surge was occurring , my foot got tangled up somehow with the screen door , which after packing the last two toes with dressing ,necessitated a trip to the ER. 20 odd stitches took care of it. Because of being on blood thinners, Tanqueray got a chance to wash the porch floor of pathogen waste. I would describe the actual injury but thought it might be too much for the male members.
Was up until 4:00AM waiting for something to happen to justify my rather unfortunate injury. Nothing.
Guess it made for good TV though.

Ouch, faygo. Glad to hear the hurricane blew over (I'm sure my clicks helped) but sorry to hear about the wound. Sounds terrible and a good excuse for serious relaxation. Get better!

Never mess with a screen door.
OK, got it. Thanks for the advice.
Glad the storm stayed just far enough away to limit any potential damage. Hope that's the last scare of the year.

I would describe the actual injury but thought it might be too much for the male members. Many thanks for sparing us the details that might be too much for some of the female members as well. 'Trying to get rid of the visual! S S! YOU and Estes have much in common w sore toes/stitches! I have heard there are a lot of sensitive nerve endings in extremities!Whew, So glad for you and others that EARL was over rated/anticipated. We will soon celebrate the demise of Earl in AC.

Faygo, glad you and the missus made it safely. Earl had potential but thankfully didn't wreak the havoc expected.
