Re: Worst cold streak
I was playing at Harrahs and it takes ten dollars. I made a mistake in my math! It is four hands to earn a base point. Sorry!

Today went to play. I earned 1,000 base points. Now I played quarters today so had five hands to earn a base point.
It takes $6.25 to earn a base point? Seems like a strange amount. Where I play it takes $5. For most casinos in Vegas it takes $1.
Were I play they just recently moved it from 1500 to 2000. So now it takes $20 for 1 base point. Each 100 pts is $5 free play each 25 pts is a drawing into something.
The probability of going 750,000 consecutive hands without a royal is about 0.000001%.I believe that is about where I'm at. I was keeping pretty close track, cross checking between time and points and then dropping about 20%, but quit when I got to 600,000 hands during my last Vegas trip. It will be three years this November since my last RF, and I usually do 3-4 Vegas trips of 3-4 days each every year and on average every 3-4 weeks to the boats between those. Well, it used to be that much; between the economy, bad luck and soaring airfare I have not been to Vegas since last November and have limited my other casino visits as well. And when I get to Vegas I hit it hard, playing from very early in the morning until late at night, 95% of it VP. I don't see shows, eat quickly, and rarely do any sightseeing. I just sit on my a$$ and play. The boats are usually more hit and miss, and if I'm doing poorly I'll leave after a couple of hours, but occasionally I'll stay overnight. And it gets worse. I play a lot of DW variants, mostly BDW. It varies from casino to casino depending on what games they offer, but I probably play 60-65% DW. The last time I hit quad deuces was on the first night of my last 4 day trip to Vegas in November. Since then I've also been to the boats on Thanksgiving, Christmas, the first week of January, March, June, and July without any. The last time I hit anything over $400, (and I play .25, .50 and $1; more of the higher denominations than anything the last year and a half), was when I hit 4 Aces in a quarter Royal Aces 13 months ago for $1,000. It was also the last time I hit quad aces in anything that counted, (in other words, I hit natural quad aces in DW, I hit them on JOB, but never in anything where it gave any bonus, even BP).To give you a sense of how great my timing is, in the contest before last I pretty much switched between Royal Aces and BDW, (yea, not much chance of wining with that 2nd one, but I still like the game): play one and switch, play the other and switch back. I hit a natural 4 Aces three times playing BDW, but it wasn't until the last day I hit them playing RA. While I never hit quad deuces playing BDW, I did hit them twice playing RA, one of them dealt. Needless to say, I've never been very high in the VP.com contests. I believe that the last time I hit a royal in one, (exclusive of the 100 play), was the dream card contest, (ended 12/31/09)For fun, (somewhat of a misnomer here), I kept track while playing MSSTP for free at home of how many times I was dealt trips before I converted to a quad. In 27 games, (played until double the initial 800 or bust), over 11 days I got 9 quads, most from holding 2, one or two from holding 1, and one where I held a J and got a quad of something else, but it wasn't until dealt trip #89 where I converted to a quad. And this isn't that unusual for me. Generally, when playing any JOB variant it seems quads come to me about double the normal rate, or more. On one Vegas trip a year and a half ago I went just shy of 24 hours between them. The only reason I don't quit is because I believe in the math and keep thinking it has to change at some point. Of course I've been saying that for 2 years now. I have not checked, but I'm pretty sure that if you go to wikipedia and look up "loser" there will be a picture of me there The only thing I can figure out is that I must have pissed -insert deity here- off by getting drunk and screwing the Pope's sister or something along those lines because I can't figure out how something like this could happen naturally. But please, if anyone has any similar or worse stories to tell please do. Perhaps one of these days I'll have a hell of a trip, (which I've ALSO been saying for 2 years...)
