if no wild card used and five coins in the royal without wilds gives 4000 coins more then 80 x and since the chance is 1 in 47 throwing away the suited 9 also leaves 4 wild cards that give 125 coin payoff for wild royal the other three nines and the other 8 suited cards for flush of straight that you save some money now hit the royal

One night playing DW I kept getting 3 or 4 to RF w/2. It seemed I rarely caught the wild Royal even playing multi-hands. In frustration I began to drop the wild deuce and hold the other 3 RF cards. On that night it worked out well. I hit 4-5 RF over next couple of hours of play.

While not my recommended way to play.. when play is in the toilet and your playing the right strategy you either keep digging or try something new.
