What I saw-wow

Post by BOOPSAHOY »

A lady is playing 3 vp machines down from me on a machine I never play because they are $5.  I see her get 2 handpays pretty close together-I look over and it looks like 4trees and I hear the woman paying her say oh this was a better one so I assume it wasnt job but a bonus poker of some sort. About 10 minutes latter I hear her machine lockup with that annoying music (when its not playing for me LOL) and I look over and see shes gotten a royal holding 2 cards. Im thinking wow $20,000 and my husband says he heard them say 100,000. I really really lean over and see shes playing a $25 denomination machine and she did get a $100,000 royal! WOW

Boops, relax, it's relative. High denom payouts look good to someone watching, but in fact it is very relative in terms of loss/earnings.

Yes it was Jim.

Rascal-you are absolutely correct. We were talking about that and how at 125 bucks a hand its really not a lot. Amazing right?

One trip last year we pooled our $ and were playing single hand $VP. A guy two machines from us gets a hand pay on Spin Poker. While waiting to unlock the machine he moves next to us. He is feeding what we think are $20 bills into the machine one after another.   Soon he hits a RF on Spin Poker. At that point, I congratulated him and realized he was playing $90/hand ($2/Spin Poker) - so a $8,000 RF. He thanks me and states he was down $11,000 before the two hits. I smile and he relates that the night before he was playing the same machine and was dealt a $72,000 hand. As he waits for the RF hand pay, he moves back to the unlocked machine and hits another RF ($8,000). We hit a quad for $200 and cash out.

When playing 5¢ VP that $200 RF looks mighty fine. As you said its all relative.
