JM, Ed....good to hear from y'all too.

I very seldom play VP any more. Spending all my gaming time at Blackjack tables.

However, back over Labor Day week, we were out in LV, staying down on Fremont as always. But we had concert tickets and a free room at Flamingo I think...we checked in and got the freebies and were killing time before going on over to the Hard Rock to see Santana.

Well, we stumbled into Casino Royale. My wife wanted to kill a few coins there. After checking out the tables (horrible!) I checked out a few VP machines. There was a 9/5 DDB machine there and I had time on my hands, so I stuffed a $5 bill into it. Got a few pretty good hits to keep me alive without having to stick more in.

But then it happened, hit a Royal! The $250 or so I cashed out with (I play nickel machines for those of you who don't know me <LOL>) padded my BJ stakes a bit. Oh, when I play, I always play 5-coin....I can afford to do that with nickels <LOL>

MikeA, Is it really you? Welcome back and don be a stranger. Good choice in top ten songs, why am I not surprised! I also enjoyed Casino Royale on last couple of Vegas trips in addition to Palms.

MikeA,
Congratulations on the RF at Casino Royale. One of my first VP G-2's came playing the nickels @ CR in '07. Back then the pay tables were really good. Sorry about the Laughlin experience - but I sure agree that sometimes there are signs (good and back) if we are open to them.

Thanks for responding.
