What Are The Odds Of.......
I play 10/7 DB pretty much exclusively. Yes, I have to be selective on where to go in order to play 10/7. I have 4 questions for the players out there who know how figure the odds of hitting certain hands when playing 10/7 DB.
1- When dealt 2 pair (AA & XX) and hold only the pair of aces..whats my odds of hitting 4 aces..if I hold the 2 pair..whats my odds of hitting FH.
2- When dealt 2 high (A-K-Q-J) & 1 (2-3-4-5-6-7) low suited card and hold only the 2 high cards::..Whats my odds of hitting a RF... If I hold all 3 suited cards whats my odds of hitting a Flush.
I know what the correct strategy is---However, every time I get the above hands I wonder "What Are The Odds".
Thanks In Advance For Any Info...........

odds of 4 aces holding 2 (393-1)
I'm pretty sure that it's about 360 to 1, not 393 to 1.

Mr. Flush's numbers are pretty close, though I have to side with Mr. Try on the quad Ace numbers. Most VP software gives you these answers. When you hold 2 cards, there are 16215 combinations; when you hold 3, there are 1081 combinations; when you hold 4, there are 47. Subtract the number of combinations that hit the hand you are interested in and express the odds of as "Number that miss" to "Number that hit". Then you can divide both quantities by the "Number that hit".1- When dealt 2 pair (AA & XX) and hold only the pair of aces..whats my odds of hitting 4 aces..16170 to 45 or 359.33 to 1if I hold the 2 pair..whats my odds of hitting FH.43 to 4 or 10.75 to 1
2- When dealt 2 high (A-K-Q-J) & 1 (2-3-4-5-6-7) low suited card and hold only the 2 high cards::..Whats my odds of hitting a RF16214 to 1... If I hold all 3 suited cards whats my odds of hitting a Flush.
1036 to 45 or 23.02 to 1
