I'm about 1/4 French myself but I think it's the German blood that leads to more exploding heads.

I don't know any Latin.  I only know a phrase or three, those that have passed over into English usage through repetition, and I don't know their direct translation.  I'm not really very good with most SAT-style English words either,  but "derogatus" and "obsequious" don't sound like good things.Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc = after this, therefore because of thisderogatus = Latin root of derogatoryveni vidi vici = I came, I saw, I concurred ( I may have "accidentally" got the order wrong)tersely obsequious = Concisely helpful, in a deferential way. (sounds bad, but it's very good)Hope that clears it up. And in closing: Because
Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur--Id imperfectum manet dum confectum erit&Die dulci fruere~FK
