Re: VP-Which Machine Will You Play?
Apparently I dont like to leave the casino with any $ lately. What would you do though if you hit a rf on less than 5 credits?
Lol, I know the feeling. But it would depend on how much you won. The primary reason I go to the casino is to always TAKE HOME SOME OF THEIR MONEY. Yes I enjoy playing VP but I know that if I stay after a good win, then I will doing exactly what the casino's are expecting everyone to do. Give it all back and more... How many times have you done that?
Ive never done that. I dont play less than 5 credits. I read your post about playing 5 different denominations. I was guessing that you fluctuate your bet. I wondered how would you feel if you hit a less than 5 credit royal. not sure i could live with that ,
Or youre talking about amount $ wagered
You misunderstood what I was saying or I didn't make myself clear enough... I always play five credits but at five different denominational levels. I start my play at .25 and keep moving up thru five dollars if I lose at the lower levels.

Mdmick is correct that a negative betting strategy (increase bet when losing) will increase the number of session wins. Those wins are then offset by a few much larger losses. A 5 level progression will generally increase session wins to about 75-80%. However, no betting strategy can change the return of a game. It just changes the distribution of wins and losses.

ok I did misunderstand. It would be interesting to know of such a detailed strategy though.

Not very complicated. You bet X number of credits (say 400 or more) and if you lose them you move up to the next higher denom. For example, .25, .50, 1, 2, 5. You also set a win goal (say $500) and if you hit it you start over again. There's no magic in the number of levels. You could play 3, 4, 5 or more. Just depends on how low you want to start or how high you're willing to go. The more levels the greater chance of winning any given session and the larger the loss if you don't win.

Shadowman is correct in the 5 denom. example that he is showing. Most of the time now I only play at 4 levels .25 .50 1.00 and 2.00 my win goal is only $10.00 plus any losses up to that point. Then I start over again... I play 2 different games BP and DDBP. I set a session goal/going home goal of $500. most of the time that will be exceeded by one good bonus of say 4 Ace's that will send you home immediately... I might suggest to you that you check out this website *******.com (single play strategies) My own personal strategy almost mirrors the system there with just a few changes... If you want more details, I will be more then glad to share mine with you. You can PM me or just keep posting here, I would think that others could also chime in... Once you have your own personal strategy set up do some practice play here on Video Poker. com.

Shadow- You said that a betting system such as the multi-denom would yield 75-80% return. How different is this from the traditional strategy that I use sticking with one denom? What Im getting at is.............Is there a % or amount of $ I should expect to see out of each session (On Average)?

Sorry if I was unclear. The return is not 75-80%. That is the percentage of sessions played where the player comes out ahead. Typically the number is 30-40% for non-progressive play. However, the actual return in both cases will be exactly the same over time (whatever the return of the game being played). The money is just distributed differently across the total number of sessions. It's kind of a pay me now or pay me later situation. The players does not pay as much "now" but pays a lot more "later". The 400 credit/5 level progression I described earlier results in a loss of $4500 20-25% of the time. You get wins of $500 (or more) the rest of the time.

Um, bud...I know all about private messenger on this site. However, I have no interest in having a private or public dispute about being a non-believer in a now defunct website of a snake-oil salesman. Keep reading his archived site, keep playing his strategies and before you know it you'll be losing even more money than Shadowman suggested.
You didn't take it wrong, you sound like a refection of Mr Falala himself. If you're not an RS troll, I take it back. If you are, the tag sticks!
BTW, if I sound somewhat offensive to you, that's because I am. Whenever it comes to a supporter of that vile, disgusting creature Mr Falala I kind of get this way. If you have no clue what I'm writing about, do some research about the person you're formulating your strategies after and you'll understand more as to why I'm attacking you.
