A magnificent hit. Glad that proper play worked the way it was supposed to. Congratulations. I concur, Happy New Years, one and all.

You should always play full credits. This one cost you.

That looked like a 10-credit max-play machine, but the 5-credit play still gives you the extra benefit for the RF. The pay table on this machine @ 5 credits is the same as if you were playing a 5 credit Max bet machine. True, you would have doubled your winnings playing the full 10 credits.

It would have essentially turned the machine into a $0.50 machine.I have seen those in some casino's before and not really sure why they do it... but congrats! Awesome hit...

Not sure if there are any machines in the casinos that I play in (Indiana) which allow the player to buy a higher payback with more credits, however, I can not resist to ask the question of what does buying a higher payback due to the overall return of this kind of machine? Or to say if differently, should I only play this machine with maximum credits?

Probably need more information, but along the general line of your question, Most VP machines pay a bonus for the royal. This bonus is for playing max credits (usually 5 coins) over fewer credits. And yes, it does increase the overall return by about 1.3%. Many of the newer carnival games (like quick quads, STP) require an extra coin (or 5) to activate the new functions. These games also improve the return of the game and increase volatility as well.
