Bankroll depends on several things so coming up with a single number is difficult. If one is going on a weekend trip or weekend in Vegas they would need much more than a trip to a local casinos for a few hours. Not to mention that the denomination played will make a huge difference. Not sure the responses will be that meaningful without this kind of added information.

I used to play quarters and would bring a few hundred a trip.

Now that I play the $5 or $25 machines, I bring about $25,000 for a weekend. It's usually a mistake... I always win early so I could probably bring only $5000 and come away with a half million any way. But I like to start with $25,000 because then I can put that away for a nice dinner and use my profits to buy cars, watches, and secluded islands.

Then I wake up from my dream and go play my quarters.

Playing quarters and dollars, I would bring 2K for a 3 day stay (playing multi-line) and I had several credit lines at different casinos for 3K each in case I needed more. That way I didn't have to pay ATM fees or carry a lot of cash around.

Eduardo,
Can I share your dream? It sounds like more fun than playing quarters.

Much is judged by the length of playing time, stay and denom as Shadow said. My budget doesn't allow me to play the long hours I used to. quarters or lower denom for me. 2yrs ago, I brought less than $300 for a 2 day stay in LV and I managed to stretch it out playing for 2 days. That was including RFB mind you. I got lucky, thats not normal.
