Decent Trip to Biloxi
My wife and I spent three days at the Beau Rivage last week. What a nice hotel. The people are very nice and we love staying there. We usually catch the free flight from St. Pete, but decided to drive this time. This trip, I decided to play DDB the whole time. Guess I needed some abuse... Usually the odds at the Beau are terrible, but this time they put in some progressives which made the trip a lot more interesting. The machines in the back had a DDB .25 Royal sitting at $1480 when I sat down. They also had a 4A w. kicker DDB progressive. The bar machines run a JB progressive. My wife's never had a Royal, so when the guy next to her at the bar drew the progressive on the draw, she freaked out. He even had the nerve to ask her why his machine locked up... It was great fun and we had a very nice three days. Got 4A w. kicker twice, lots of quads and even ran $100 in quarters up to $900 once. We play strictly for fun, so the odds don't affect us much. It's nice to see the Beau cater to VP players for a change.

We play for fun (i.e., entertainment) as well.
It seems to be a lot more fun if you win, or, at least, don't lose too much.
Playing games with better paytables (i.e. odds) certainly helps.

Phil,
We get to make our first flight to Beau next month. Really looking forward to it. Played there for first time in years in late January and had a good time. Flying will beat the six hour drive.

There are some 9/6 J/B 1$ machines right in front of the cashiers cage in the back. They put them in about 6 months ago. Good Luck!
