lake charles 2
Was all set to go to lake charles over the weekend. and almost had to cancel.. So Friday i was ready to cancel the room. But i had a deal get done late friday so I was able to go.We got there about 2pm saturday. We stop at the isle and had no luck. To be frank no one was winning in the couple of hours we were their. So we checked in at lac, we played and no one was winning at all.I was playing tdb and hit a royal at about 9pm. That saved the day. The next morning the wife was sleeping in and i went down about 7am for some-play and nothing was happening. I had played a half dozen machines or so with no luck.It got to be about 10am and playing tdb I hit another royal for 50 cents a 2000 dollar hit again.SO when it was all said and done i cashed for about a 1100 dollar weekend. Would have done better but my wife got killed. I did not get a chance to hook up with lucky larry this trip but maybe next time. One other note for the lake charles gang, lacs comps are a mess. All the people were having a hard time to figure out what the comps were. I can tell you this my coupons i got in the mail for about 75 dollars total i only got about 30 dollars worth. I even went to the rewards center and she could not get it right. I used go get them to comp room service and others things with out using my points, no more i am not happy. I am going to e-mail there headquarters and let them know how i feel. The isle has much better comps and cash back. If you play in lake charles drop them a line about there comps. I can say this 3 trips so far this year and won money every time. I guess that is what is all about.

raven,
Sorry we missed you but weekend with daughter and upcoming grandchild....
Glad you were able to get two awesome hits... L'Auberge comps are really getting messed up... our offer no longer includes a room...so much for "lazy river this summer". But, we had a great quick trip Monday to Isle. (see "Sweet.."post)
We'll have to arrange a get together in LC.

Larry we had a good time now my wife likes the scenic route that you mention. I am a little upset with pinnacle new rewards. The host there at the front, in the casino are lost at sea about the comps. 2 of the hosts told me that they are going to get really tight on the comps. I will spend more time playing at the isle or go to shreveport. I have several friends that play up there. I guess they have 6 or so casinos up there.

raven,
Glad the back Hwy 73 worked out for you - it makes it so much more relaxed going to LC and not fight I-10 traffic. Time-wise takes it doesn't take any longer. DPS has been setting up just before the curve going toward Taylor Bayou so be careful.
The Isle is suppose to begin machine rearrangement/movement beginning the first week in June and continuing through the summer. Should be interesting seeing how things develop. Don't know when the VP is being moved to the center of the floor but will give a heads up to everybody if we see it. New bundle arriving in June so we'll probably limit our visits to be on call to greet the stork.
