What Can I Learn From Dancer

Post by MarySB »

I see Dancer advertising his "classes" in his latest 05-17-11 article. Since I have never been to one or heard any discussions about what he "teaches" you in his sessions I am curious as to what goes on his classes. If one knows correct strategy is there something else to be learned?

Usually, he announces the subject of his classes. He has beginner and advanced versions where he covers strategies at a different level. Even if you know a little about strategies he might provide more information for you in the advanced classes. However, Bob is not what I would call a dynamic speaker so don't stay up late the night before. Also, he provides strategies for different games. You might want to check if the games he is covering on that date are ones you have an interest in learning.

I've been to one of his classes and agree with shadowman. I found it kind of a snoozer because he to me talks below the level he's trying to teach. The one i went to he had his wife as something like his producer, and she gave the class a little life. I did understand things better when it was over and i do try my best now.

he puts vp play on all levels from basic to help the tourists save money to advantage players play 100%+ games correctly. he made alot of money selling his products good for him but he helped to kill all the good vp plays. unlike jean scott whom helped the tourists by getting them to learn to use coupons and comps to save money without hurting us advantage players

If I know perfect strategy for say 10/7 DB is there anything I can learn from him if I go to a 10/7 DB class. If so, what?

I remember him saying there are lots of winning hands but there are many more losing hands.

Probably not, unless you want to buy any of his things he sells in person. From what they say he woorks for the casinos as much as he works for the players, so buyer beware.

Just yesterday Bob an I had a meeting at M to discuss how using a trip total for mailer calculation at a casino frequented by locals was hurting their business. We also recommended ways they can bring back some better pay-tables.I can't speak for what Bob did before our partnership, but let me assure you that since I've been around him, as a fly on the wall you'd be very happy with all he's doing on the behalf of players.I think you may have an askew perception of what casino consulting work is. We advise casinos on ways of bringing in customers. By definition, that is usually good for the customer. If it wasn't good, it would not attract buisness.~FK

I went to several of his classes at Southpoint.  He does have good information to share, but the way he shares it leaves a lot to be desired.

He goes around the room asking questions - and ends up making fools of many people.  Even if he's given the correct answer, but it's not worded perfectly - it's wrong.  His way, or the highway.

You can only take so much.  As he goes  around the room, he seemed happy to say "wrong, wrong, wrong".

He may be there to help video poker players play better, but he enjoys the chance to promote his many products.
