Seems like a problem with your sound driver (though that may sound weird). When others experienced this problem, repairing their sound driver fixed it. Some have had this happen as a result of a McAfee update that caused sound driver problems.Here is a link that addresses how to test the status of your sound driver
and also has steps to correct the problem. We don't recommend doing a
system restore unless you are familiar with it and know about the
consequences. Instead it's better to get the sound drivers properly
