Argh...think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts
I made a visit to Four Winds in New Buffalo, MI today and I held my own for many hours before eventually giving up a few bucks. I scratched my head though when I saw a couple early this morning get dealt a royal while playing a 5 play machine and I noticed that they were only playing 1 coin a line. They were playing a .01 denomination machine so they were rewarded $12.50 for their efforts. I know not everyone can afford to play max coin in but if I were in their place I would have been playing 3 play at max coin instead of 5 play at 1 coin per line.

Wow thats rough. Why not just play one hand at max bet .05c. Should have been $40.
Ted- Did you happen to play at the middle bar tops? Their are a few good $1 games around here and there.

I sometimes play 100 pennies on those vp machines that take 1-100 credits. It's the only way it's interesting to me. Every winning hand looks like a big winner as the credits pile up.

I've had some pretty good luck playing the .01 $3.00 max bet Super Times Pay machines that are located just off the middle bar. I was playing both of those machines and switched to the other one about 20 minutes before they were dealt the royal. My story is not about sour grapes, as I'm sure people have envied some of my hits over the years, but rather it is a reminder to always try and play max coin when you can to optimize your hits.

If I am ever lucky enough to have a dealt royal in my lifetime and it pays 12.50, you all have my permission to smack me upside the head.

I have to admit that my smacking upside the head skills have gotten a wee bit rusty. When would you be availabe for practice?
