Old habbits die hard, unless your winning...
So, my weekend trip to Harrah's AC was not off to a good start when I was unable to get much going on Saturday. I went down to collect my free NCL cruise voucher. Hopefully I can actually take the free 7 night cruise, but that's another story all together. I also got a bunch of comp dollars and 8x's on my play for my comp card. I played hard, but not much happening so I headed home.
Sunday came along with more comp dollars, 4x times my play and with a new bankroll I set off again. Midway through the evening It started to hit. Just about everything I played was paying back. I was able to move up to my beloved dollars on STP and actually stay alive. Did you know that when you reach 3k in the machine at Harrah's it starts spitting out tickets so that it stays below 3k? That was a new one on me. Must have spit out 4-5 tickets before I decided to stop playing. I was getting good dealt hands, I was getting multipliers, I was getting both at once. So much different than the night before. Anyway. I didn't take pics of everything, just a few notables. The first one is my biggest to date. I was all over it too!!! When I play dollars my heart tends to pound a bit more. Quarters, I'm just playing, half dollars has my attention, but dollars can get me really going. Especially on multi-hand. I saw the 2 aces, then the spinnie went off on the 4th card. I thought, this is going to be good. As the spinnie was running I was saying, give me a 3rd ace and then it happened. I knew I was in uncharted STP territory (for me at least). Dollars, multipliers, 3 aces. When machines handpay, there is this pause where the machine makes no sound right before it plays the happy music. I always love when it happens. I was really happy about that one. Had been waiting a long time to see someing in excess of 2k which is my usual.
One more visit coming this weekend (to cap off the June promotions of free comp dollars and multipliers), than I have to take the rest of the summer off.
Edit: Two things I forgot:
1. Yes it was very much a winning trip. I know, someone always asks. I came home with a check for the first hit and a bunch of cash in addition to my bankroll. It's so nice when that happens.
2. I had the opportunity to peer inside a VP machine while I was there this weekend. One of the machines at the bar kept eating vouchers without giving credits. What I found suprising was that I saw USB ports, and what appeared to be a usb stick stuck in one of them. I thought these machines were a lot lower tech than that. I will say it was one of the flat screen models at the bar, so it was a lot newer. What I didn't see were any ROMS of yesteryear. I bet the new stuff is all flashable on chip stuff. Probably takes firmware updates like everything else in the world.

Congratulations roveer, super hits.
Maybe we suffer from the same malady. When I switch from 25¢/50¢ to $1 multi-hands, I can feel the adrenaline start pumping and the rush come. I not sure that the heavy breathing and rush is good for my heart but I sure don't mind when I hit on $'s.

I took your advice from the stratedgy forum and played on Saturday without the multiplier extra coin. My money did last a lot longer but there was very little excitement. Not sure what to do with now but I sure do remember how fast it goes when you aren't hitting hands and playing with the extra vig. I also changed up games a lot. Still played DDB but changed between 3-5-10 hand games and kept finding the game that was paying! Let's see what happens this final Sunday
Let's see if I can put together 2 winning trips. The nice thing about this win was it paid for our WDW vacation coming in July. Won it at adult Disney! Going to enjoy it at kid Disney! Isn't that the way it should be!

Only when they are paying. Otherwise it can be a painful experience. One that I have often been a part of. Getting a much better feel for when a night just isn't working out and either quitting or dropping to recreation play. but when their running I'm full out!
Christian the slot tech knows me so well there is no ID needed for my hand pays. Like I said. Harrahs has this little thing where anything over 1k is a hand pay. Not a W2G, but a hand pay. How about 2 winning trips. That would make my summer casino hiatus really great! Let's hope
