Re: Mount Airy Trip
Under new management? Heard they were having serious financial difficulties. All I know is they stopped sending me offers after I won a little there. Maybe that was just a coincidence though.

Same folks running it. Slight name change to ACH from AC Hilton. As with most casinos in AC they are having tough times. Offers have declined slightly but are still quite acceptable. Both Tanqueray and I were upgraded very recently. We like it because of its location away from the hub bub and the ease of getting from the room to the casino.
As far as offers going down after a winng stay, we experienced the oppostie. Guess they wanted there money back.

Thanks for the update. Maybe they are only pursuing the bigger fish; I left after hitting a $1k royal there and haven't received a single offer since. Guess they don't want my $ back. Same thing happened with Tropicana for a while but they started sending small offers again starting in August.

Long ago and far away, I did so well one day that my pockets bulged. However I did notice that after that my cash back was meager and so were bonus slot dollars for a month or two. Always thought it was the amount of money put through the machine that mattered in terms of cash back???? And try asking your host or casino employee. There's a FORMULA,, they say. Anyone know for sure??? Does it vary from casino to casino?

Offers and slot play vary considerably from casino to casino, but it is almost entirely a function of the amount you play through the machine (coin-in). Many casinos have been cutting back on offers lately, especially for video poker players; most player clubs these days seem to be giving around 0.25% return on coin-in, with Caesars at 0.1%. As mentioned previously I noticed a distinct tailoff in offers (in particular, Tropicana and ACH) when I won some $ the previous month. Trop just resumed my offers after a three-month hiatus for no apparent reason, and I didn't play there in the meantime. Only property in AC that doesn't appear to have been affected is Caesars; in fact, I started receiving double offers from both Ballys and Caesars last month.
