Re: unpaid VP jackpot
Backsider, that is the second thing on this forum we agree upon. I truly cannot believe any one could do such idiotic things like that. It is your own fault if you get shorted. PAY ATTENTION

Thank you for the comments. You are a tough bunch. I did claim the jackpot the same day (by phone) when I realized that I had the claim ticket. They just make up a story that I was already paid, but this is improbable. How about blaming the casino? All gamblers with integrity honor their marker.... except this casino.

mightwin,
I got home from Vegas several years ago with a nice ticket in my wallet from a strip casino that we played before heading to the airport. I called and told the slot director what had occurred. He took the TITO receipt number and recommended I make a xerox copy of the ticket and mail the ticket to them. Less than a week later a check arrived from the casino. Needless to say, I've patronized them each trip to the strip.

As far as SpxChrome's assertion that a casino employee will make the decision not to hand count the handpay to you in view of the camera and the winning machine...not in a regulated casino! That is a violation of gaming regs in every state that I am aware of!! The handpay must be counted to the patron in view of the eye in the sky. (At regulated casinos.)
Sorry man, it has happened many times at Harrahs New Orleans. I know because I was taken back by it the first time it happend. But sure enough next time I got a handpay again they asked me if they wanted for them to count it out. But its always 1 slot attendant and 1 supervisor. But they will hand it right over no lie. I am sure somebody else from NOLA can pipe it but I've hit dozens of hand pays in NOLA.
eta: to clarify its not the casino employee who makes the choice they always ask if I would like it counted out. And of course I always so no cause I don't care for the eyes I get when getting handpays.
