Re: My video poker strategy. It has served me well.
My favorite off strip casinos are ....Main Street Station , one of the few places where you can still find 10/7 double bonus, and full pay deuces wild. I also visit Gold Coast, Pamls, and now M resort.
Actually, I think DB is probably the most common good game around, and that's why I am learning it. At $1 the return is almost as good as FPDW, maybe better with comps. FPDW may be the next of extinct species. FP BP is the only good game left at Palms, for instance, and offered at $2. That must be a temporary mistake. Having played FPDW exclusively for my VP career, the strategy for BP is REALLY proving difficult for me. Maybe because I'm old and my concentration hard to maintain.

Bottom line is that its your money do what you want. There are 2 sides to this and you have to be able to live with the results.
EX= Yesturday me and my better half were playing various vp games all day. Slowly losing through out the day. I get this game king on some pretty good runs, only for it to crash and burn as usual. Tired, frustarted, and possibly bored after being there 5+ hours, I decided to give keno a run since my machine wasnt responding positively. Down to the last 5$ that I was willing to lose................WHAM I caught 5 out of 5 while betting 4 credits= 3220 credits. So happy I got all my vp money lost back and then some. I have lost track of the keno winnings this year except for the 4 hand pays that I have. So many times I have hit at keno and recouped lost vp money. Ofcourse this is luck. Alot of people associated with vp would never consider playing video keno because of the long shot odds of hitting. Because the math tells you not to. Everyone has to do what is good for them. I believe the only betting system that works is the one where people refuse to visit a casino and never step foot in one.Let me save Shadow the work of answering this. It's not true for Shadow and otherswho play positive EV situations. No, you can't do it EVERYWHERE. Hence the long term winners don't play everywhere. And, they don't have to ask proper hold questions, either.
I didnt post this for shadow to answer it. I posted it as an example of an unconventional means to how we approach managing a bankroll. Although not mathematically sound perhaps, it works for me
I prefer something that works for EVERYONE. Playing positive EV situations with accuracy does not require managing your bankroll, merely watching it grow. I have never been able to accomplish that by steering clear of the casino. Understand?

some players myself included will not play games that are negitive expected value including comps as some bonus point days. we just try to help the various players on this forum if they want to improve s/m goes against his own self interest by doing this as it lowers casino hold forcing casinos to downgrade paytablesEXACTLY! I must say, I wish there was a way to have LV stuff separated from all the rest.I have zero interest in any state other than Nevada. All the other states pretend that it's illegal to offer positive EV games. Yes, promotions can alter that.

Hello Jim002546Looks to me like great minds think alike!Does this website really think that a player from Ohio, who will never go to NV has any interest in hearing about positive EV games from NV? Since we are in agreement, what happens next? Can we get this website to break itself into two forums. One representing the fantasy world of NV, and the other representing the real world? I doubt it.............On the other hand, I suspect that some good information can be passed between the two parallel worlds. However, can we identify where the writers of gaming magazine articles live, or the creators of gaming strategies live? Once we are certain that these “experts” are living in the fantasy world of NV, then we can say unto them with a straight face, that they should take off their rose colored, coke bottle thick sun glasses, and see the true colors of America. Not just the sun filled world of Harry Reid. For example, I think that the strategy cards that tell you what cards to keep would be the same in both worlds. But, what VP expert will tell you to not play video poker outside of NV, as the best available games outside of NV are not positive EV games? Such experts would be in “hot water” with their casino and game manufacturing buddies. Now, I can set back and wait for the experts to tell us why we are so wrong for not wanting to read stuff about NV, and their positive EV gaming environment.

There are a myriad of posts in this forum that are dedicated to finding the few positive games left in Vegas. If you will notice there is also a parallel universe in Vegas." Strip' and "Local".
The states thet make it illlegal to offer postive EV games are by and large using VLTs.
I also don't understand why you make a blanket statement that people from Ohio will never go to Vegas?

Hello FaygoPerhaps, I did not make it clear in my posting. I was referring to my lack of desire to go to NV. I am not in a position to speak for all other Ohioans. The poster that I responded to gave me the impression that he was only interested in hearing about items within the boarders of NV. Likewise, I would enjoy it, if I did not have to read through postings that only relate to NV gaming. So, in my opinion, he and I are saying the same thing. Just seeing if from opposite angles.

I would love to go to Vegas. Problem is I would have to fly and they would have to kill me to get me aboard the plane. Not a winning strategy.
