Bankroll management questions

 I have a few bankroll managment senarios for you to answer.......if you would
 
                            Is it better to...........
 
1. Set a pre determined amount (X) before starting a session
 
2. Set a session legnth based on time ie= 3 hours
 
 Lets say Start BKRL $300- 25c -bonus poker and DDB
 
The problems that I have found are sometimes I can run a 20 for hours. Then sometimes I get smoked right out the gate. I understand the huge difference between the 2 games I listed. BP , JOB for me seems like only one thing to hit. Just wondering about some different perspectives.

I don't think there is any method that is right for everyone. It all depends on your goals. We all have winning and losing streaks. The higher variance games like DDB will produce bigger wins and bigger losses. Low variance games like JOB and BP will produce smaller losses but you will also have fewer winning sessions.
 
There is no "right" way. Over time our results will approach the return of the games we play using the strategies we employ.
 
In my own case I travel a good distance to gamble. In addition, freeplay is based on average trip coin-in. So, I try to avoid short sessions. The only way to do that is to have enough money with me or to utilize the ATMs or check cashing services. I prefer to take enough money to get me through 6 hours of play 95% of the time. I play a high variance game not that different from DDB so my session bankroll would be the equivalent of $750 if playing quarter DDB.

He normally leaves home with 5K and returns with 6! Forgot, he owns 218 bowling balls.

There are lots of times I would have been better off to have left after a big win. Of course, there are many times I continued to win. What I really need to "feel" is when to skip going to the casino when it will be a bad day. If I only went on good days ...

Good Days? Let us see, ah there is Monday but then Tuesday is pretty good and Wednesday, Thursdays aren't bad.....I suspect you  get my drift.

Anyone got a method for that?DAMN you're dumb!  Never go the casino and you will never have a bad day. By the way, if anyone has noticed that I both defend and tease Shadow it's because I actually KNOW him.  I once posted an invitation to meet anyone on an upcoming tripand Dick, I think, Shadow was the ONLY SWINGING D--- who even gave a crap aboutmeeting me.  He drove a long way to meet me at the Palms, and I appreciated it, and Iknow he is very sharp and well-intentioned.  And he keeps preaching the same sermon over and over because the congregation keeps proving that they were asleep during the previous one.  And I watched him play a little deuces wild at about 1000 hands per hour.

Just wondering about some different perspectives.I am going to give some good advice that I don't necessarily heed.  If you are playing negative games, you should never play more than 5 cent.  You know you are going to lose, so if you are playing you must enjoy it.  So keep the cost of playing to a minimumWhen 25 cents per hand depletes your bankroll you leave.  $200 for a royal is pleasing if you're just betting a quarter.  If you read the forums, you will find that gambling is a problem for nearly everyone on here, including me.  The more you play, the more the size of the pays becomes routine, so you step up in denomination to get those larger hits.  Just like the drug user goes from marijuana to cocaine, say.  But playing games with less variance at same return obviously is a form of bankroll management.   Advantage play is something else entirely, a totally different pursuit.

Ya not "feeling" the machine. If only it were that easy. Im saying feel time to go. There lies the gamble I guess.
