What might the new ownership have in store for someone like you?  Don't you play the 10-7 DB for $2?  That's not exactly breakeven, even with no slot club.  Sorry if "attack" insulted you-didn't mean that, but It didn't seem like "play" was quite right.

Oh no, I just thought you meant by "attack" to play vigorously and with purpose.Never played the 10-7 machines at the Palms. If they have a "no-promotions" sticker on them they are no good for my purposes. The change in management has not effected me in anyway, the food is as good as it always was.Oh, Little Buddha's might be closing.

In the banner above, put the cursor on INTERACT (between LEARN and SHOP).  When the menu drops down, select "My Message Center".  The message should be in MY INBOX on that page.  Click on the message and you should be able to read it.Then you can hit REPLY if you want to send me an answer...or you can post it here, no problem either way.If you want, I can post my message here, but I thought you might want to view it privately.  Let me know after you have had a try at that.P.S.  I don't think you have to be a gold member to deal with private messages.  Someone in the know can let me know if that is the case.  I'll investigate further after posting this.

Sorry, I guess "My Message Center" is a GOLD MEMBER ONLY service.  I will go retrieve the message and post it here.Edit:  Re-sorry, Frank.  I just checked the Player Directory and you are GOLD so you should be able to access the Message Center. So I will revert back to the instructions in the previous message and suggest you try and let me know if you are unsuccessful.

Never heard that one.  Not too keen on the visual, though!

In your private message you asked about the 57T Dbl BoPo 5-meter strategy. The palms dropped the meter-rise shortly thereafter, and eventually removed the only bank in existence. I abandoned the project and never posted what I had done. Didn't want to pour salt in the wound for something that was now spilled milk.

New2VP QUESTIONS WERE:1) How
would you expect a team member to handle situations like the one
described below?
I would not. I would sit by them and
tell them what to do or expect them to hold to basic strategy.
2) If it was you playing rather
than a team member, would there be differences in the selections that
you would make since you might be able more easily to handle mental
calculations?

Certainly I or one of my current team
partners that posses the math skills to deduce the correct play would
not be restricted by team-player rules. Team-players were not all
that savvy.

3) Would you consider all the penalty
situations, some of them, or none of them? How detailed would the
instructions (strategy sheets) be?

Very, depending on how often we
played that particular progressive. All the way from a few simple
break points up to several pages of break points, charts and
correction factors.

4) Would you have strategies already
set up and practiced that would simply approximate the actual
situation that you were facing at the time?Mostly we had formulas for doing
the calculations in the casino on the fly.

In answering, if it makes it easier to
visualize an example:Consider immediate expectancy. 9-7-5 DB with
4 meters on the royal and each of the 3 sets of quads and a hand that
contains A-K-J (no ten or queen) with the high cards unsuited with
each other. The best way to handle this is with breakpoints
and correction factors. You make breakpoints for the meters and then
modify those breakpoints for the other meters using correction
factors. RF vs SF is an easy one. I'll give you an example.

Let say you are dealt JT7s in 57T
Dbl BoPo.

Basic strategy says hold the JT7s.
You would break with this in the event that the RF got to 11,959
coins. This breakpoint would be further modified upwards by a
correction factor of 15 to 1. Therefore every dollar on the SF would
add 15 dollars to the RF breakpoint. A full team strategy would
include basic meter breaks with the correction factors listed off to
the side in a comparison chart. Both examples of the equations and
charts are in my book.Does that cover it?
