Re: So many annoying games
I complain mostly before I play, about having to go and play. This is of course irrespective of results, since it occurs before they exist.Further, if the play lasts too long, I complain about the long hours and pain, also irrespective of winning or losing. I will also complain about uncomfortable seats, loud music, and bad drinks.I have never complained about results, or as a result of results, as far as I can remember. I see no reason to let random events over which I have no control ruin my day. I worry about stuff I can change.~FK
Remind me to discuss that with you. I hate to hear that.

So, who mentored to who-you are Shadowman?[/QUOTE]It's funny you should say that because on the other forums Shadow and I disagree on so much you's think we were arch nemesis sometimes. I come from the world of large scale team gambling, far as I know he's an independent pro. The environment is quite different, but where math is involved we usually agree...not that there is much choice where math is involved, it is after all, just math. From my POV he seems to post mostly for personal amusement and recreational value. I post mostly as a comunity service. I could of course be wrong since any comments that involve another person's motives are at best conjecture. Whatever the case he adds an always intresting perspective and overall I've really enjoyed his contributions to the on-line forum community.I would not want to be confused with him, because at times he has gotten far more confrontational than I'd would have, and it has made me cringe...a bit.Our styles are quite different as is my thought process:If you think of my psyche like a LOST deserted isle with my thoughts as the last stranded survivors of a forgotten expedition, it makes more sense. All one has to do is float by on a raft and wave, and the next thing you know you have the survivors desperately jumping into the ocean, braving sharks, rip tides and fighting each other to make it to your raft hoping to be rescued from their isolated plight...because food was running out and cannibalism wasn't too far off. (plus--who wants to eat coconuts year after year anyway)Sometimes, too many of the thoughts/survivors try to climb onto the raft in their desperation, and they capsize it sending themselves, you--their would-be rescuer, and the raft to Davy Jones' locker, never to be heard from again...which is why I don't have an end for this metaphor.~FK

He used to post in a different manner, more towards your motives. But he moved to oneof his other homes in the northeast. And I think he got tired of preaching at the...............zoo. He's smart though, and used to put a lot of effort into educating others on here. But he surely got tired of hearing he couldn't possibly be an advantage player from all the morons who turn 99% games into 95% because of their special plays, intuitive plays, experienced-gleaned plays, the guys who are so boring to anyone who does this seriously. You'll soon tire of it too, because no one appreciates it. Give some consideration to WizardofVegas. It's pretty interesting but not so much on video poker. But, he shared your attitude about losing as just another day, to be offset by more winning ones to come. I don't think he was quite as unflappable towards a losing streak as you are able to be. I think that comes with playing so much. Sat. morning about 9:30 I should be texting you from my ride. Hope you are a middle riser.
