Re: Wife got first Royal...finally!
My heartfelt congratulations also. But let me be the first regular player here to scold her for playing those awful negative games, and please let her know that all shes doing is filling up the machines for the smartie pants players and she will end up a lifetime loser. Whats that, she hit another one today? ! Oops.

Backslider you know some things are better left unsaid. It would probably wise to learn that.

The only royal I have had this year came when I held a lone queen playing DDB. Had a royal about three years ago holding a lone ace, also DDB. Have not hit a royal drawing to a four-to-a-royal hand since well before these two. BTW, my wife waited 25 years before her first royal. That was years ago before we met and she got me started playing VP. LOL

Congrats to her on the RF!
My friend plays those evil slot machines at a local ("Indian") Casino while I play VP. I talked her into playing some VP one night about a year and a half ago. As god is my witness, she had only played about 15 minutes when she was dealt a RF (progressive 1¢ playing "max" 100¢) for a cool $1850.00. Casino claimed this to be the largest progressive ever paid on this bank of machines. I thought she'd be hooked but she returned to slots. Over the last year and a half she's played a little bit of VP but I could count the times on my hands. Last week she lost her bankroll on slots ( a regular occurrence) and decided to play low dollar VP next to me on a "Hundredplay Draw Poker" at 2¢ denomination and playing a single hand. Down $1.10 and she's dealt a RF for $80.00 One of those bittersweet moments. I'm trying to get her to drop slots and play VP. With her luck on VP I've offered to bankroll her play.

Congrats on her first Royal!
I remember when mine hit her first royal. She plays no where near the levels that I play but she has played enough where she should have hit several. But she finally got hers and didnt even know it. She was playing at the bar talking to her friend. And I walked up to see how things were going and noticed a ticket sticking out of the machine. I pulled it out for $1000. I said were did this come from she had no idea. According to the time on the ticket she hit it while talking with her friend and never even saw it or noticed because the machine just spit the ticket out since he had over $200 on the machine from other quads when she hit it.
