10/8 machine for DB

Post by cvnlynn »

Please tell me if playing 10/8 DB machine is good - 10 for full house, 8 for flush. Thanks.

Welcome to forum! Yes,it's GOOD! Take down the serial number in case they start moving the machines around to different locations! 9/6 is considered acceptable. What casino, cvnlynn?

First of all, I'd be suspicious. Yeah, I'm that kind of guy.

Casinos sometimes like to change the return of the FH or FL because many gamblers only look at those numbers. You would do well to verify that the other returns have not been changed. Increasing the FL return by one will increase the return by about 1%. However, a reduction  of 3ofK from 3 to 2 for example could reduce the return by 7%. A net loss of 6%.

Secondly, you should verify this is a class III machine. Class II machines or VLTs often do not return based on the pay table, but rather on a fixed percentage. These types of machines are often found in Racinos, but also in states where class III machines are not approved.

That's more like a bonus poker pay scale than double bonus.

But, as Shadowman pointed out, there is more to pay scales than just the full houses and flushes,

Yes, the full house and flush (and straight) payouts are higher than those in most bonus poker games, but halving the two pair payout to only a push more than compensates for those higher ones.  This appears to be about a 94.2% game.

This is not DB returns for quads. It is more of a variation on BP that returns a paltry 94.2%. I should hope there are much better games available.
