Hi Bob, Welocome to the forum ! I attended one of your classes at the Borgata when the Borgata first opened. I still have your book that was given out at that day. Since I`m on the east coast I listen to your show via the internet. I enjoy the show very much.
With tax season upon us will you be having Jean Scott and Marissa Chien as guest ?

Im not interested in black jack or sports bets or poker etc.  I understand your only-vp preference. Other people on this forum have broader gambling interests. One reason I plan to announce in advance what the show will be about is to help you decide whether it is relevant for you this particular week. One constant in the show is that I am always there and I have a strong bias towards video poker. This week Shack is going to be asking me about video poker misunderstandings from things I have written in my weekly Las Vegas Advisor blog. That blog is about 90% video poker related. Whether a five minute discussion on vp blog misunderstandings is sufficient to pique your interest this week is something you'll have to decide for yourself. Bob

Let me chime in.@BacksiderIf VP information is all you care about then worry no further. One of the reasons I left the show was because I wanted to do much broader show topics, and Bob wanted to keep it more about VP and pro gambling. Believe me when I tell you Bob is all about VP.But here's the more important thing to understand, the traits, skills, and overall mentality that make a person a successful video poker player can be found in all the distinct disparate and diverse branches of pro gambling. Though dress and life styles may differ, often the differences end there. To make it as a gambler one needs, self control, good money management, various mathematical skills, and the ability to see though the omnipresent haze of randomness to that which truly matters, in order to make good decisions about the future. As much as purists would like VP to be a purely mathematical endeavor, it isn't, there is a human element and that is you. That which makes you a better person also makes you better at all things, whether that be at BJ, or Poker, or Video Poker or raising children.Gambling is all about making good decisions and good choices and a show like GWAE that has interviews with some of the top gamblers of all time is an excellent source of what works and what does not.~Gambling is a contained microcosm where emotion & math dance around each other in easily observable patterns (I think it's the Watusi). It just needs a DJ to spin the records, change the beat, and get the party started. There is more to be learned in a casino than merely how to gamble. ~FK 2010

Rainbow.  I just stayed there in November.  It, and all of the Wendover joints, is surprisingly nice and PACKED on the weekends.
