Great stories, I'll contribute mine, too! Traveling for work, long ago, early winter, around 2000 - 2001.  Flew into Omaha, early afternoon to meet up with one of my sales reps and then we were to drive to Sioux Falls SD, after he had dinner with his family, for a meeting with a client the next day.  I had made the decision to go to Ameristar Council Bluffs for a few hours while waiting on him.  My long time buddy was the Master on the vessel and I wanted to visit with him and gamble a while. It ended up snowing further to the North and I-29 was closed going in SD until further notice so I settled in for a night of VP. I started on a upper deck with a bank of (5) DDB $1 machines.  I had the entire bank to myself, during most of this run, which lasted for a 3 - 4 hour period.  These were coin machines and over the time on them I had hopper fills and/or hand pays on every machine.  I hit the progressive for more than 5k, I hit 4awak and 4 aces multiple times with "waiting on an attendant" on 2 or 3 machines, at the same time, multiple times.   Afterwards, I moved to another area. Outside the high limit area was a triple line $1 DW machine and within the first 15 minutes I was dealt 4 Dueces for $3k.  While waiting on that hand pay, I turned to my right and there were (4) older $2 Bonus Poker machines - I spent a couple of hours there with many hopper fills, hitting (4) 2's, 3's, or 4's, and (4) Aces multiple times.   After 8 - 10 hours of playing I had the host comp me a room and I headed there.  I put all the hundreds I had stuffed in my wallet, pants pockets, and coat pockets and counted it - having no idea exactly what I ended up with.  After counting, I netted more than $16,000, not a bad night! The largest single hit I had was a couple of years earlier (1998 - 1998), north of Topeka KS, at Harrahs Mayetta. I played quarter VP, all types of machines, for hours, and was up $400 - $500, or so.  I then sat down at a bank of OLD 25c, 1 - 40 coin, touch screen, progressives.  I can't recall the name but they were popular years ago, having 9 - 12 different game options.  After an hour or so, and being up, I kept pushing my bet higher, cycling down, and then back up, again.  I was playing Joker Wild, 40 coin ($10), and was dealt 8,8, Joker, and drew 2 more 8'st for 5oak, the light came on and I had no idea that I had just hit for $8.064.45 until the attendant came!   Too bad these nights don't come to often, but they do happen, as both nights started with a couple of hundred dollars!

June 2004, Native American casino in the UP of Michigan.  Good friend arrived home on a Sunday night from Vegas from his bachelor party (I unfortunately couldn't attend).   We were catching up on his Vegas events and decided to take a quick trip and try our luck. Newly installed stand up Game Kings, probably in for a week.  I was playing quarter DDB.  Played for about 20 minutes, dealt 3 to the royal, drew the other two for $1000 dollars.  The very next hand after the hand pay (pre-ticket days) I was dealt 4 Kings.  The next hand after the Kings ring up, I'm dealt junk with an Ace.  I hold the Ace, the other 4 cards to the royal tumble out.  This was witnessed by my buddy, 2 security guards, a slot attended, and a shift manager.  It happened so quickly that they hadn't yet walked away.    They hand payed me the next $1000, I played out the remaining credits, and left.   I've seen some incredible runs (dozens of 4OAK's back when you could "double up") but for massive hands that was the best.
