Biloxi Trip and Premonitions

Post by Lucky Larry »

Sweet C and I just returned from our trip to Beau Rivage with overnight stops at Lake Charles Isle both ways.   I had a couple of nice hits including Deuces the night before we went Biloxi. Odds at Beau Rivage were really bad but we knew that but couldn’t pass up the great free play offer. The last night at BR I caught several Aces and 3 quad fours on 25¢ multi-hand within 20 minutes but we played it back over the rest of the evening. The best part of the Beau visit was meeting BillyJoe who was also there.   It was great to meet a fellow poster.

We stopped back at our second home (Isle Lake Charles) yesterday on the way home and we both had a good night. Sweet C was having a great night having caught several RF and multiple 5 Aces on 5¢ multi-hand.

For those who have read my posts I believe in “premonitions when they instantly come to me”. A number, a specific hand or a thought will instantly flash into my head and last night was a perfect example. When I’m really tired my premonitions seem to really become active.   After 5 days of play and lots driving I was exhausted. I had already called several hits for Sweet C and a friend playing next to us. I was frustrated from not catching 5 Aces in over three hours even after holding 3 deuces twice and having just missed Aces again holding 2 D +Aces again, I turned to Sweet C and told her and two friends playing next to us, “this machines needs to just deal me Aces”. We all almost passed out because this was my very next hand.

So long as you believe in your premonitions, why didn't you shift to quarters and play max credits?   Bob

Bob,
1) because the multi-hand machines we were playing are only 5¢ denomination; 2) we don't have the bank roll to play max quarters except occasionally; 3) we both know that a nano-second of change in my response would not have provided the hit. I understand the mathematical probabilities I don't question fate/timing when playing.

LL, it was certainly a pleasure meeting you and your lovely wife. The Beau is a beautiful place, in spite of the poor pay tables in VP. I am glad to see that you were able to get a little back with your hit on your return trip.
I hope to see you again at some time in the future.
