Vegas Visit
Well, just wrapping up our Vegas visit. Had a great time, but boy, was it HOT. Had an up and down run at VP, which ended on a down note. Finished our stay in Vegas at Aria, where we found many 9/6 TDB games, but just could not get those darn kickers on the quads we received. Made a big difference in our overall results. I chose not to post any pics of wins this time around, since it seems to generate a lot of negative comments on the Forum. We did get several, both on VP and slots. My best day was actually at Mirage one afternoon, but the Mrs soon took care of that. We played golf three times while here, the last being the golf event @ Shadow Creek. It was great fun. We tied for 2nd, getting $1250 each in Aria FreePlay. Ended up missing the Miss USA Pageant, even though we had tickets. I over-did our day at Caesars pool early in the week, and combined with the 3 golf days, I had way too much heat. My body just could not answer the bell on Sunday night for the show. Next stop - Atlantic City, for the Caesars 7 Star event.

Good for you billyjoe. I wish I could get to some of the golf courses you get to play. It would be a great time I'm sure. What did you shoot? Tell us about some of those birdies.
Also, don't worry about the comments on your pictures. It's your money, you can play whatever you want.

Shadow, we played Rio Secco, Cascata and then Shadow Creek in the tournament. The format was a Shamble, where everyone hits their tee shots, then you choose one, and play your own ball in from there. Every player has to use their tee shot at least once. The best gross score for the team counts. We posted 11 under, nine birdies and one eagle, and no bogies. We had a 4 person team, with myself and the Mrs, joined by a father and son. The Mrs made the first birdie by sinking a 12 footer on our first hole as the first putter - what a thrill for her !! The down side for her was that there are no ladies tees @ Shadow Creek, which made it a very long course for her. Needless to say, we were thrilled with the outcome.

Kudo's to you, billyjoe and Mrs. billyjoe for playing golf in summer Vegas! Wow. 100 degrees plus is MISERABLE and if anyone says, "well, it's a dry heat"..stick your head into a hot oven..blllggh! I understand golf is really a dedication sport (I couldn't hit a golf ball to save my life..more like whiffle ball) but sitting in a nice, cool pool, with a umbrella drink, is more my speed. I enjoy your posts..you sound like a very layed back person, so please post your wins anytime you are fortunate to get them. Its an incentive to me to keep trying.

billy you put me in the way back machine. So far back, I don't I remember the year let alone the month. Dunes, 10AM T-time, 100F, sent you off with a 5 gal. pail of ice water and big towels. On the turn it was time for another and $10 for Nick. So hot and dry that they were watering greens between groups shutting the sprinklers off when you were about 30 yards out and when you got to the green they were dry. Tanqueray and me enjoyed every moment of it.
Now, pics please.
Now, pics please.
