I've done the same several times but it never worked out to my advantage.  I once put a $100 in a multi-strike at Horseshoe Tunica.  Put it on .50 cent hit deal nothing, hit deal again nothing.  Then hit deal again and really nothing because I was out of money lol.  I was used to play 20 these were set to play 100! On the reverse side I once put a $100 on a triple play dueces machine.  I normally play $1 and got excited when on the first hand I was dealt quad dueuces for $3,000.  Nope it was set to nickels so instead of $3,000 I got $150 lol Did the same on a another machine, had just finished off $100 playing DDB.  Friend came up to talk to me for about 10 min.  Put another $100 in and on the first hand got dealt AAAXX this time I noticed the machine had reverted back to .25 and of course the A3 came up.   Boo hoo whatcha gonna do.
