Biloxi Blues
Just got back from a week in Biloxi. Weather was great - played three rounds of golf. The cocktail waitresses at the Beau Rivage are still as lovely as ever, and I got to meet Lucky Larry, and his wife, Sweet C, which was another bonus.
The casinos, however, were less than generous. I had a few smaller handpays on both slots and VP, but not much. I posted this photo because of two things: I generally play multi-line, and this was single-line, only holding two cards to boot, and the paytable was so poor. I thought some folks may get a charge out of getting a winning hand on a machine like this.

Billyjoe,Congrats on the win and on meeting up with Lucky Larry Sweet C. Sounds like you had fun. Were you playing tdb at the Beau? The paytable (and my eyesight might not be perfect) looks like its 8/5. Is that right?I hope you came home with money and a good golf score.

No.......8/5 would be 40 for the full house and the paytable reads 35.

Even worse, Opaline. Yes, it is TDB at 7/5. Sorry for the poor picture quality. These are a bank of single-line machines with progressives at the $0.25 level in the 'Non-Smoking" area of the Beau. I went over to play the progressive (and get out of the smoke for a while), but someone had just hit it, so I opted for $1 instead, in spite of the pay table.

Mamma,I mistyped - got a new laptop and meant to type 7/5. Bad paytable but good win for billyjoe. Mamma, thanks for catching that.Billyjoe,I'll look for the non-smoking area when I'm there in July. I am bringing a friend with me who doesn't smoke so I know she'll want to try her hand in the no-smoking section.Good luck.

opaline,
While you're at BR you might grab the shuttle bus and try out the Palace Casino. We stopped by while in Biloxi at BR. The whole casino is non-smoking and they had a good selection for machines and it was nice and roomy. Pay tables not much different from BR but what a pleasure to be smoke free.
FYI: The new Margarittaville Casino is scheduled to open in Biloxi May 22 so it should be open as well. We drove by because we heard it was opening May 15 but security told us the opening was May 22. Looks really nice from the outside.

Love it, you know I go to biloxi several times a year. Mostly play at the Grand/IC/IP since the paytables are better. But on 3 occasions I go broke at the Grand and have walked over to the Beau and hit these same machines. Mostly because the Grand doesnt have TDB. But just funny, I even joked the last time. I said lets go to the Beau so I can win my money back cause I had done it a couple of times before on TDB and sure enough first $100 got deal 22322 for a quick $2k.
