I got one for you. I was at a midwest casino about a year ago. Having a great day , I had just hit about $1500. So after a restroom break, I come out to find the mach I was playing taken. Could have swore I tilted the chair, oh well no big deal, I will just play this other mach. So I put my $ in, play for a while and cash out. Poor drink service forces me to fetch a soda from the self serve. I notice the guy left the mach I had been on. I figure, may as well sit back down. I like this isle mach. So 10 - 15 minutes goes by and I'm approached by security. Right off the bat, they ask if I'm Mr.......? I reply yes, why is there a problem? Turns out, somebody left $21 in the mach that I had briefly played. They forgot to cash out and get tito. I never really noticed, I just play until I hit a 4 oak or better, or bust, then reset with more money. So they say easiest way to resolve the issue is for me to pay them the $21 for them to give this person. I agreed because I figured they went through a heck of a lot of trouble for 21 dollars. I mean they knew my name via players card inserted. Kinda shook me up. I cant believe that someone would not only admit they forgot to cash out, but approach security over 21 dollars. Security tells me to always check for zero credits and no tickets in mach. Of Course I will take extra caution moving forth. So in this casino, its not finders keepers even if you are oblivious to the fact. I asked the sec guard, what would happen if I didn't have any $ to pay it back at that point. He wasn't impressed with my question. Live and learn.
I had kind of the opposite happen to me a few years back at Mirage in LV. I am an early morning player, so about 5 AM I walk up to a bank of VP machines, and I hear one of them chiming. There was a ticket sticking out of the pay slot. I pulled it out to look at it, and it was for $700 !! I looked around, and there was absolutely no one in site. I pressed the service light, and waited quite a while for someone to come by. I told them that they should contact security to locate the rightful owner of this ticket. They radioed up, and we were told that they could not determine who it belonged to, and that whoever was playing that machine  did not have a players card inserted. I figured they would just take the ticket, but to my surprise, they gave it to me, and said "Win something big with it".

I have had the same thing happen to me, but unfortunately not for $700. I have always been told that if this situation happens, or you find money on the floor, it goes back to the casino if the owner can't be found. Yet, on 3 different occasions, I have found a ticket that was not taken, notified a floor person, and all three times, they wished me the best of luck and gave it to me. One very nice floor person told me that the casino had no more right to it than I did. I don't know about that, but each time they gave me the ticket. I know the casino can find you with your card in, but I don't know if there is memory after you leave.

I actually think that they looked at survelliance video in order to determine the validity of the persons claim. I doubt it was a game memory situation, I dont see otherwise why they would approach me to begin with. Weird.

i WAS ON THE OPPOSITE END OF BRMC'S ISSUE. I PUT IN A   $100 IN A  $10 SLOT AND THEN STUPIDLY WENT TO THE LAST MACHINE I WAS PLAYING TO RETRIEVE MY CARD. WHEN I GOT BACK THE MONEY WAS GONE. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT LOOKING IT UP TO SEE WHO TOOK IT, I WAS TOLD CREDITS LEFT ON A MACHINE ARE CONSIDERED ABANDONED.

My mom who is 85 years old lives in Vegas.  A few years ago we were playing at the Gold Coast.  Mom decided to cash out and go around to the other side of the bank of machines.  She got her sweater, her purse and her drink and moved over by me.  Now this takes a little time for her to do all this, she finally gets settled and dosen't have her ticket of 150.00 so I go around to get it and it is gone,  didn't take only a few minutes for someone to take it.  A security guard happened to walk by so I told him about it.  They open the machine up to verify that she had  had  money in it.  Then they could tell that the ticket had been cashed and at which machine it had been cashed at!  All this in less than  minutes!  We asked about the eye in the sky but got now where with that, she was just out.  One of the attendents told us that there are people in the casino that walk around looking for tickets, if they are caught then they are not allowed in the casino.  Also my mom knew of a women who everyday went to the casinos looking at the machines to see if people left money on them, this was like her job, well she got caught doing this so she has been barred from the casinos. They had also told us that they would look at the eye in the sky (which I doubt) and if they saw who took the ticket they that person would not be allowed in the casino. Do you think that if they did see the person that they would be on the look out for them? I don't.

For me I was dealt 4A's and a 9. Held the A's. Hit the draw button. 1st A disappears and in its place a 2 appears and K pops up in the 5th spot.

Luckily for me the tech who had just "fixed" the machine was standing behind me, as was my host. I was ready to go ballistic, when my host called in the Slot Manager who said we'll pay the jackpot. A's w/kicker. $5, TDB. $20k.
Another happy ending.
