One of every possible number. C'mon that wasn't that hard.[/QUOTE]
Maybe not so hard, but it's not the correct answer. Getting guaranteed to be selected to win the top prize at Powerball doesn't mean you have an advantage. You need to look at how much you win for the top prize, how much you win for lesser prizes, and how much this all costs. Yes you also need to consider the probability of duplicate winners. Yes you need to consider how much it costs to hire people to get all the bets down --- factored by a chance they will make one or more mistakes. Usually having all the possibilities covered in Powerball means you are a guaranteed loser --- and a bigger loser if there are duplicates. Bob

Billys question dealt with having an advantage. He did not ask what it would take to win the top prize. That  only takes one set of numbers. My response was basically  to his question that apperared to me as being in search of a less then a mathematical answer. You  are right about all the loose ends in such an endevour, Some 20-30 years ago, that exact buy took place in a Fla. lottery by off shore interests. My memory is hazy as to whether they came out ahead or lost their proverbial shirt. My use of the wink  might not have been as descriptive as the following

Aha! I now understand that you didn't intend your comment to be taken seriously. I didn't realize, Faygo, that you were as young as your picture indicates! Bob

The marvels of air brushing. Most folks have learned not to take me too seriously. SM that photo is too close to reality.
