 Just for clarification, are you saying that unless someone is a Gold Member, we should not be on this site? We have no rights to speak on the forum, and that unless we all pay the $8.75 a month, you would rather we not be here at all? Tell me that is not what you are saying...

I'll add that we obviously want as many Gold members as possible, but that's a personal decision each member must make on their own. Is it worth it to me for the benefits I will receive?For people who spend a lot of time on the site, we believe it is. The experience is much better.But I don't know of anyone who went GOLD because they were called a freeloader. You might be better off sharing the benefits that you enjoy if you want more people to become gold members. Help them feel that it's worth the cost (as you sometimes do by pointing out that it's only a quarter a day) rather than being condescending about their decision to be a basic member right now. We have had people say they won't go Gold simply because of this sort of attitude by Gold members here and in the chat. It's a shame that they're missing out on a better site experience because of that.Ultimately, if cook1947 is a gold member or a basic member, it only impacts his own experience, not yours. Unless you're anxious to get a personal challenge in against them. We appreciate the encouragement of becoming a Gold member, but being insulting to basic members doesn't seem like the right approach. Driving people away from the site certainly isn't the way to go. There are a lot of reasons someone would opt not to pay to be a member and that's why we continue to offer what we believe is a great free membership. The best way to encourage them to become a Gold member in the future would be to help them have the best experience possible as a basic member to feel like maybe it's worth paying to support the site and make the experience even better. My 23 cents.

Being gold is awesome we get to play in personal and group challenges. We also get to form great friendship's on chat also talk about daily event's etc.  The best part is getting our collective brain's beat out in the daily and monthly challenge's by the non- gold member's It is great fun you all should at least partake in the free trial. then decide one way or the other.

No cook that's not what I am saying. Once in a while people come on complaining about an ad or something else they are not happy about. The non-gold are paying nothing to play on this site. As I pointed out before you don't get something for nothing. A slow game or two, or a bothersome ad is something you are going to have to deal with. You go gold those bothersome thing's go away.
