Re: Oh how I love September
Twice I have had four separate royals in a day, not counting dealt on triple play days. Of course, that was not often enough for me! VP sure brings out the GREED in peeps!

I've hit two within an hour on Triple play machines in Biloxi and at GVR. Did my recent 4AK on triple double count? Same pay back of 4000 credits. Picture posted under Win Win Win. Sure looked good to me! Of course anything that gets me ahead gives me a thrill...

I've never hit two in one day and I have played a gazzilion hands. I have hit 1 one day and one the next day or I have hit them on back to back trips to a casino. But never in the same session. But I have also only been dealt 3 Royals which is way low for the amount I have played. And just as Odd 2 of the 3 were on Dueces Wild which I play maybe 5% of time. I guess I make it up somewhere else.

I hit two RFs in a day about 6 times. However, if you consider a 20 hour period I've done it far more often.
In fact, after reading Bob's comment earlier I went to play in the contest. In my very first game I hit two RFs in two separate hands. One holding 4 cards and one holding 3 cards. I then had another RF in my 5th try at the contest. Yeah, it is much easier with 3-play and DreamCard, but I thought the timing was interesting.

OK, this is getting ridiculous. Right after making the previous comment I entered the contest again and had two more RFs in the first 50 hands. Both were holding 3 cards and I don't think the DreamCard came into play either time. Why doesn't this happen in a casino??????

That is a good question somewhat rhetorical but ,never the less, a good questionl
It just struck me .... you are wearing the tinfoil.

Roveer did a great job -- congratulations!!!
But as I have posted before, STP is basically a losing game. Most of Roveer's hits were at the $60 per hand level, with a few being at $30. Playing at this dollar level on STP eats away at your bankroll very quickly, and especially at the paytables showing on Roveer's photos.
Roveer showed us 15 jackpots that he earned within a 20 hours stretch of playing. That's about one handpay per hour and 20 minutes of play. Based on my own lengthy experience playing STP, my guess is that Roveer walked away with some nice money in his pocket, but no where near the sum total of his hits.
Again, Roveer's hits were great, but it is statement's like jim18's "But Roveer's luck gives me the hope to keep trying" that forces me to once again appear to be a party-pooper concerning Roveer's good fortune. This is not a positive game and the only way to truly beat it is to get very lucky, hit big, and immediately get up and walk away. You cannot physically attack this game for 20 hours with a $3K bankroll at the levels Roveer was playing on and walk away as a big winner unless you luck out and hit something in the $50K range.
I am not trying to detract from Roveer's big day and I congratulate him, but I think even he would be the first to tell us that his net winnings at the end of the session were no where in the ball park of the sum total of his jackpots.
I am in agreement with Rascal on several of his points. DON'T TRY THIS based on what I have posted. I have been admonished before for giving people "HOPE" and we all know what kind of trouble that can cause. I post my pictures because I think they are pretty, not to try and lure other people into playing at my denomination or to try and emulate what I have done. Rest assured I have had my share of losing sessions and I do this for ENTERTAINMENT, not as a source of income. You have been warned. Roveer

Not really. It's only a losing game if you play it on a bad pay schedule. It's a winning game if you play it on a good pay schedule with a good slot club. It does appear with a bad pay schedule more often than a good pay schedule, so if Rascal modified his statement to "STP is usually a bad game" or "STP is often a bad game," or "at such and such a casino STP is a terrible game" I would have no beef with what he said. At Gold Coast in Las Vegas, they have 25c Five Play 9/6 Jacks or Better STP. That's a 99.82% game --- and Emerald players get a 0.30% slot club every day and everybody gets a 0.70% slot club once a week (in September at least). While that might not be your game of choice or your stakes of choice (mine neither) it's the best game in that casino for players comfortable with playing $7.50 per hand. Nobody knowledgeable would refer to that as a losing game. Bob

Bob, I hereby modify my statement: STP is usually a bad game.
