Is it customary to get your casino host a gift? Can they accept? Thanks

I gave my host a gift last year. I've heard of others who also give gifts and others who don't.

I gave my host a gift at Christmas. She deserved it for all the super nice things she did and continues to do for us, plus she's a super nice person!

That's about it, IMHO! DID you have any luck there or anywhere else? Highlights, please!

I have gifted hosts in the past, but not much recently. I have a number of very good hosts around the country, but it is difficult to give them something that they could not normally receive through their casino. For those of my hosts that are golfers, I host them on a competitor's premium golf course (like my Aria host in Vegas playing Caesars' Cascata, or my Beau Rivage host in Biloxi playing Harrah's Grand Bear), which I find they really appreciate.

The role of the host is to promote casino play. Making someone comfortable may cause them to stay and play longer. As your play increases, so does the host's ability to comp you.

We had a really good time, the weather was perfect, I will go again in Sept much cooler than in July! We didn't have any luck on VP. I remember several years back, everytime I sat down I would get a RF not this time. It was good to see my mom and brother,we went to death valley, that was something to see, it was only 109 that day It rained one day and of course things flooded but other than that the weather was good. What has happened in Vegas? You can;t buy a 4 OAK or anything else. I did go to the penny machines just to recoop some of my money Our flight there and back were really smooth sailing. Really nothing to exciting to report, wish I did but maybe next time. Good luck to all of you that are going to LV for the meet and greet!

'Glad you had a good time and better luck next time. We also enjoyed seeing Death Valley and touring Scotty's Castle and went on to beautiful Yosemite. There are so many things that can go wrong on a long distance trip that we should consider it a WIN when we return and all went well!
