Nice INDIAN casino resort. That is why I am giving up on this site. Some people will never get it. So you all win. I Quit

WTG Phil and wife! Keep posting updates. Are your driving back to Fla.? If you are, consider heading south and try out the Lake Charles casinos on I-10.

We are heading back to Black Hawk to finish out our trip before flying back on Saturday.  We spent the day in Cripple Creek yesterday.  What a hoot!  Cripple Creek is great fun.   If you've never visited before, you should.   It's so great to play deuces with these great pay schedules.  It seems like you can play forever for a couple of dollars.  The Mrs. is kicking my butt.  I need to score a bunch of quad deuces to catch up.

Phil,
At least one of the team is scoring hits.

I purchase "Bankroll Insurance" by sharing my bankroll when Sweet C is out and I'm up. Seems like often, its the other way around and I have to call up my insurance agent for a loan.

Glad ya'll have had a great trip! Have a smooth flight home.

We're hoping to slip away tomorrow to LC to celebrate Sweet C's big 65! Then later this month we're finally going back to Vegas after a long hiatus.

We are back in Black Hawk and having a ball.  Found some great paying VP machines and scored a 4AwK and a bunch of 4-of-Ks.   I gave up on my Florida one coin moving up and down strategy.  With these better pay schedules, the best plan is finding the best paying machine you can, play a denomination you can live with and try to play as perfect as possible.   Except for the winters, I could live here in a Miami minute....

Denver can have some very nice weather in winter. It just doesn't happen very often. Still a lot better than here in Minnesota.

A plan to take an extended trip in the middle of summer to get away from the Florida heat and humidity might be nice.

The weather in Colorado has been wonderful this past two weeks.  Black Hawk is pretty high and It snowed a tiny bit when we walked to the first Casino.  We love cool weather and am not looking forward to the high humidity back in Florida.  The Mrs. has been a JB player for a long time and wanted to learn a new game.  I showed her Deuces and she's turned into a DW monster.  The odds are so good here that it seems like you can play forever.  Bring on those quad deuces!

We came home a few days early.  It started to snow in Black Hawk, so we headed back south.  We had a great time and can't wait to go back next year.  We loved Cripple Creek and Blackhawk and especially loved the much better VP odds in the west.   Got another free flight and rooms offer from the Beau Rivage in the mail.  We'll be there Thanksgiving week.  I'm still working on the best stategy for the low pay schedules.  The best stragegy may be to not play at all, but I estimate 3 nights rooms, food and airfrare for two poeple is worth around $1,000.  I built a spreadsheet with all the games on it comparing hourly losses with 5 coins and 1 coin bets.   For the most fun for the buck, it looks like 1 coin deuces beats them all by 1/2 percent.  I'm working on playing slower to cut down my loses. The idea is too have as much fun as possible while losing the least amount possible.  Fun means something different to everyone, so my conclusions are my own.  Any other ideas?

Win/Loss Stop Points for each playing session. When you hit one, end your playing session, and go do something else for a while (shopping, pool, spa, etc). Then, you can resume playing later as a new session.

It may not overcome a losing trip, but it will prevent you from being dragged into the huge loss abyss if you hit a bad run in a single playing session.

This is basically nonsense. If you're going to be playing 4 hours, playing one session that long or turning it into two or three sessions because you've hit some arbirtrarily defined Stop Win or Stop Loss numbers along the way does absolutely nothing to change the EV of playing those 4 hours. If you use these techniques to play less --- then yes, that will help you. If you were expecting to play 8 hours and turned it into a 2 hour total trip --- then your expected loss for that trip will be less because you didn't play as much.  But if you return sooner because you didn't play "enough" last time, that negates whatever benefit stopping earlier added previously. Stop Wins and Stop Losses do not provide any benefit for frequent players. For once-every-10-years players, yes they could help because you'll end up playing significantly less over your lifetime than if you didn't have such limits. The key to winning is to insist on having the advantage before you play. Even under these circumstances you will sometimes have losing months or even losing years. But allowing yourself to play bad games virtually guarantees you will have losing year after losing year. Bob
