Ever had a run in at the casino?
I recently had an encounter where I won a small but "hand pay" amount and the woman at the machine next to me really annoyed me. I was playing the machines and moving around as I do since I will get off any machine after I drop 100 credits. (Sorry I have OCD ) Anyway I saw a man get off one and walked over and asked the man and his wife if they were done playing it and they both said yes and he moved to the machine on the other side of her. Anyway long story short I won $1500 and this woman starts with the.. "That should have been ours..We warmed it up for you..Oh you gonna take our money and leave huh?" I resisted the urge to go off like Joe Pesci and headed out but later felt really mad about her reaction.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and what if anything happened?

Sara TG,
Saw a guy playing a machine and hitting big hit after big hit. After several hand pays he gets up and leaves. Another man immediately takes the machine, plays the same game, same denominations, same general speed. No hits...triples don't become quads, no FH, 4 to flush don't hit, almost like not even two cards the same suit. He gets up and leaves frustrated. The original player comes back and the winning assault begins, FH, dealt quads, another hand pay. He leaves for supper and the second guy comes back more determined. Money in... no hits, more money in no hits, no quads, no FH....soon you begin to hear the garbage, banging on buttons, occasional profanity often followed by a prayer....a plea....The scene of frustration and desperation....comes to an end when my wife comes over and tells me to give it up.
In your situation, trying to explain random number generation would be like explaining the difference between weather and global warming. So I would enthusiastically and repeatedly thank them for warming the machine up, seeding it with enough money for you to get a hand pay. i would then ask them if they will come get you when they finish with their two current machines because you would like another get another hand pay before the night is over. You then must decide whether to walk or run to the nearest security guard.
Congrats on your hits.
LL

That is a funny story. The sicko's that we are , we stopped at Four Winds Mi on our way to the airport ( we were going to Vegas) so I could use my free play, my plan was to win money for Vega I sat down at a penny machine and hit the bonus for 73 spins! I did take 95$ out, but the lady next to me said" I just got off that machine, that is my $$$. I just smiled and thought to my self " don't you just hate that when it happens!" We went back to Four Winds this week and I saw a machine that was new and a man was playing, he left so I went over and bam hit for 65$ made me happy, but the man next to me yanked his ticket out and left! You never know what the person next to you will do or say.

As Zig Ziglar said when I say him in person in 1971 in Merrillville, Indiana--he's a longtime motivational speaker, still going strong....."the half a minders and the gonna doers wind up being the never doers".

I had a guy nearby complain to the staff that the jackpot music that played when I hit a big payout was too loud!

Funny how that jackpot music can be annoying, unless it's from your machine. A few years ago, I had a great run with 4oaks on a machine, and another woman playing the same bank actually asked if I would give up my machine because she was down $5000 and wanted to recoup her loses. Once I picked my jaw up off the floor, I told her no (politely) . Well she persisted by asking 3-4 more times. Finally I looked at her and said "it's not always the machine that's lucky." Then I called my host over and got her escorted from the area.
I've been on both sides of the issue. Sat down at plenty of machines that were paying til I got there. Some days you're the bug and some days you're the windshield.
