Tunica Trip
Just returned from what was supposed to be a golf trip with three rounds of golf in Tunica, with one being a casino tournament. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. My first round was rained out. The second day I did 'play' in the tournament, but it was very cold and extremely windy, so it was not very enjoyable. I cancelled my round on Sunday, and decided to just hang out, watch football and do some gaming.
I wish that I had more pics, as I did catch a few nice hands during the trip, but my cell phone decided to go down at the wrong times, so I missed a few. Here is one that I did get.

The VP action in Tunica is very poor. I had a long discussion with the Slot Manager at the Gold Strike, and he confirmed what I have been suspecting for some time. The casinos are reducing their exposure to large payouts. The more volatile games like TDB, where you may get a large paying hand, are being restricted to low denomination machines. The Gold Strike had only two $1 denom, multi-line machines, the Horseshoe had one, and Roadhouse and Harrah's had zero. Roadhouse had the best pay tables that I found for single-line games.

Thanks for asking, Larry. Finally went to my orthopedic doc here in Tampa today, and had it X-Rayed. I didn't want to go to a strange doc while on the road. He said it was a clean break, and is healing straight, so I should be fine. It will hurt and ache for quite a while, but that is about it. Now, where did I put those pain pills?

Where was this I was just in Tunica and couldn't find any TDB multi-line? But I did find single line ultimate X at the roadhouse now that was fun. And yes I agree one of my local casinos just removed all TDB and SuperAces. And one other casino turned their $1 DDB progressive into non progressive. Which I really hate because I like to see that Royals come and Go with the progressives you know. But all in all there is no doubt they are getting away from larger payout games. Even the ulimate X and shockwave have been reduced from $1, .50.25 to .25.10.05. Either that or there are more nickle players in the world and the $1 machines sat dead to long. I always thought you should be able to play whatever denom you wanted like in Vegas. You can play $25 down to .05 on the same machine in some places.

The pic is from one of the two $1 multi-line, multi-game (including TDB) machines that are in Hi Limit @ Gold Strike.
